He is so helpful, if you don't understand something, he will go over it until you understand. Such a sweetheart, and is very understanding. Best Theory teacher I've ever had.

Love him as a teacher, hate him as a marker! His questions are super specific - if you're lucky enough to catch the little details he asks for on exams then you're lucky! Great man, always willing to help, just seems to be a really hard marker.

This course is rather involved and it's because he makes more of an emphasis on world and music history together instead of music alone. He will ignore students who don't show interest, but so do most profs. They just don't make it so obvious. Make the effort for his class and he will respect you. He is definitely a man you want on your side.

I love Dr. Gordon, and found his class really enjoyable. He is always well prepared, emails his notes to his students and is all around a geat person. I had never been as interested in history until his class, plus even though he's the dean, he's really down to earth.

This man is without a doubt the cause of the continued elitist mentality of students in the School Music (I myself am a music school student). He refuses to listen to what you have to say. He'll argue to the death if he thinks you're wrong, even if you're right. And god help you if you're wrong, he will never let you forget it. Unbelievebly inflexible and arogant.
