Comment:

She is kind and intelligent, and possesses a twinkle to her eye that makes her seem all the more wise. However, as a professor, she doesn't rate so high. I would associate her with the words disorganized and easily distracted. Her approach to teaching is unstructured. I felt it was an easy A, but I do love English. I did not enjoy this class.

She lets you re-submit papers if your not happy with your grade (easy A if you try). As long as you show up every class this is an easy class and she lets you know exactly what she needs from you and her plans for the qtr up front.

OMG! She is terrible. Don't take her. She is never on time, she isn't clear about assignments at all,she runs on about the same topics all the time,she likes to hear herself talk so much that class rarely gets out on time and we hardly ever use the 3 textbooks we had to buy. By far the worst teacher I have ever had,seriously!

She is fine teacher, very scatter brained. Do Op/Eds and essays and you will be fine but you must stick to her format for essays or she will take points. She does pick favorites but if you do the work you will be fine.

She is cool, reasonable and unassuming. I had lots of fun and learned something that is applicable in real life situations.Op/eds,3presentations and 3 essays are entertaining and quite useful. Highly recommended!

Not Incomprehensible, but if you pay a little more attention to detail, you'd be able to understand her madness. It's that she has absolutely NO organized way of teaching. She gets caught up in the topics and moments. She's not a bad teacher, she's just unorthodox. And its pretty easy to pass the class if you do the work.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. She is hypocritical, unclear on her directions, claims she said things that she didnt, pulled power trips, and made no comments about the content of my writing, only about the slight problems with formatting, for which she harshly marked me down for. If you love to brown-nose and be confused, this is it baby

If you want a distance learning class then this is definitely for you because that's how close this class is. You get no points for perfect attendance, group work, assignments, and a short quiz because all that matters are the 3 essays. I have an A on the 1st essay (don't know the next two) and everything stated above yet I got a failing grade.

Don't expect she'll return your phone calls or email even if she gave you one in class. I have been trying to contact her when I found out I failed in her class which is ridiculous. There is no way of tracking your grade status because she's so late in checking essays and assignments. We have to take essay #3 not knowing the result of essay #2.

I had to take this class right away in order to finish my GE requirement for transfer. My enrollment date was so late there is no slot available in other sections. Her teaching style is ludicrous. I took a gamble and I failed. I have a much better chance of surviving a russian roulette than passing her class... Thanks for the delay Mrs. Forsyth!

At least ten minutes late every day, unclear directions. Did not learn much from this class that I didn't already learn in jr high. She tells you what she wants in her assignments if you ask, but overall the class felt like a huge waste of time. [assignments = 3 essays, 500-600 words each, very few in class assignments

I feel that I didn't learn anything because all we did was discuss and write about current events/issues. There was very little discussion on how to write papers. There was also a lot of group work which I found annoying. Very strict attendance policy. She dropped anyone who missed 3 classes. Overall not a hard class though and pleasant teacher.

She is pretty nice, but she is really strict on attendance. She will not give you the grade you got in the class if you missed three absences. She also does not let you make up quizzes and work that is due on absence. She never lets us out early and lectures are SO boring. one pro, she's a SUPER easy grader.

Not so hard. Only 3 essays (1 in class)and 3 presentations. OP/ED articles on the first class in every week. If you do everything following her instructions, that will not be a hard class for you!
