Comment:

I love Tracy! She is my professor and counselor. In the hardest times of my life, she opened her office door and let me cry on her shoulder and showed me genuine compassion. She offered me resources and was so understanding. As a teacher, she gives different activities for us to learn from. I adore her and I highly recommend her!

Dr. Thorndike is without a doubt my favorite professor. I have taken two of her classes and look forward to taking more. Her passion for this topic is extremely clear which makes the class that much more interesting. She gives great feedback. She clearly cares about her students. Yes, her class is challenging, but is 100% worth it. 10/10

The first class I took from her I was scared! She is a tough grader and she has high expectations! BUT! Then I took 302 with her and now I've taken families! SHE IS AMAZING! She really cares about you and your future students! She is still a tough grader but in a helpful way! TAKE ALL CLASSES WITH HER!

Dr Thorndyke is extremely organized and her expectations are clear and set in stone from day one. She is passionate about her field and that shines through. I didn't use my textbook much because her lectures and powerpoints are so in-depth.

Comment:

Tracy is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is extremely smart and passionate about her field. This class was taken as part of a Master in Teaching program and because Tracy is such a great professor, I feel so much better off after having had her. Tracy is very down to earth and will do whatever she can to help her students succeed.

Comment:

Tracy is an amazing teacher. She's tough but she truely cares about education. She's firm with expectations but it's so you will learn and try. I didn't do well at first but she helped me improve and now I'm doing really well. She's supportive, fair, and non-judgemental. She's someone who I can rely on to be accurate and knowledgeable.

Spends every class period reading off her powerpoint slides. For a Special Education class there is no differentiated instruction whatsoever, just lecture with little enthusiasm. She answers student questions in a discouraging manner. She is the harshest grader of any class I have ever taken. If you didn't take 301 with her, she expects you to fail

Tracy is awesome! She's a great professor. She clearly knows her stuff and definitely walks her talk when it comes to teaching. She's extremely eloquent and is a vast wealth of knowledge. Her classes are easy if you show up, pay attention, and fill out the study guide. You will learn a ton from her!

Tracy is a great teacher. From day 1 her expectations of the class are extremely clear. Her deadlines never change and she is always willing to help students with unclear concepts. It's not the class for you if you don't care about learning the concepts and just want an easy A but if you wan to be an educator that shouldn't be your concern anyway.

A difficult class and she expects a lot from students but if you work hard and study for the exams ahead of time (not cramming) you should be fine. Everything is weighted so that getting a low grade on one thing won't make or break you. Very helpful if you ask for help. I always found her very willing to help students succeed in the course.

Would never take a class with Tracy again! She talks down to you when you ask for help and will tell you that this is the worst paper every submitted... Not nice at all, need to practice on her people skills and learn how to be nice to students. Dont ever take classes with her!

Totally knows her stuff! An A is possible if you just do the work with some effort. I would take all my classes from TTC if I could! TTC rocks the face off of pyschology and makes you want to actually learn and do well!
