He's really passionate about what he teaches and the tests are very fair. Some of the concepts are a little tricky, but if you catch him after class he will help clear things up! One of the most interesting profs I've had.

Comment:

Very confusing. He was all over the place with his lecture notes, and did a poor job at wrapping up the major points of each lecture. His notes are horrible and they even confuse him sometime. You have no idea what you're supposed to learn, and there's no textbook to save you from his section of the course.

He isn't a great lecturer. The problem is that it is hard to study for his exam. His notes often have no writing and only pictures. Really hard to know what is going to be tested. His portion of the exam was pretty awful. Everyone did awful on the final so they must have taken out a ton of questions because we ended up with decent marks

Comment:

He likes to repeat himself--which is good because then you can make sure you get down all your notes. I didn't read the chapters for his section (only the descriptions for the pictures in the textbook) and I got a very good mark for the final exam. Some of the questions in his section was tricky though. He is a very nice prof if you approach him.

He knows what he's talking about, but that's kind of a problem sometimes. His notes are two points per page. He talks for ages and doesn't tell you what you need to know and not to know. His portion of the final exam had a lot of "all of the above" and "none of the above" as well. Overall, really difficult prof. Knows a lot about cancer though.

Well, he didn't really know the answers to any of the questions asked in class, Just go to class and memorize the notes and you'll be fine. This class is not that difficult. Final mark = 95.

I had him for ACB 200 and I didn't like him much in that the exams were ridiculous and the notes confusing. He's much better for ACB 325 however, as he actually makes his own lectures now. Still kinda confusing, but made efforts for everyone to understand. Nice guy, which is good since I have work in his lab all summer.

One of the worse professors I have had in university. His notes were mostly unhelpful and you ended up filling up all the margins in the printoffs with additional notes because THOSE are the things he tests on. Generally unhelpful.

The most unhelpful prof i have ever encountered.He disappears off and then u cant get a hold of him when you need help, his exams are tough, but the assignments saved me....get the textbook & study it hard....

Some people are fit to interact with others, he is not... that why he's in research! The department should reconsiders him teaching. Buys his lecture notes. Goes way to fast and above most people...its only a 200 level class WTF? Assignments should save you by boosting your mark. class ave (1st Midterm)=68% and that was "High"

horrible, horrible prof. his notes are brutal and his explanations even worse. he looks almost exclusively at fine detail and neglects the big picture. make sure to read the text if you take this class.

Very smart man and knows his stuff. Notes themselves are very poor unless you actually go and sit in on the lecture. Seems very conceited however and says some interesting things that alot of people might find offenseive. Not a big fan of him. Okay teacher just go to class or else you'll be doing alot of extra reading!

Really knows his stuff. He presents it clearly with lots of diagrams. Its just too bad the entire content is three letter acronyms: RAFs P15 SNRPs etc... It makes you long for actual words.

Notes make absolutly no sense unless you go to class. Isn't bad as a lecturer, he explains the slides. He does seem to be a bit prickish; ie. "If you're not going on in sciences, what the hell are you doing here?" and "If you smoke and get cancer you can't say anything."

He isn't the worst prof ever, he just can't seem to make the material interesting. To do well you really have to learn and understand a lot of the material by yourself from the textbook.Without the textbook I would have died!! The midterm average was 64%, although multiple choice it was very tricky.
