Comment:
Professor Konig has a distinct teaching style compared to other CECS lecturers. He lectures by writing out code and explaining what is going on. His homework is you changing and editing prewritten applications to do this and that. Has many quirks, but is willing to help. He is an overall intelligent person and very approachable.

He genuinely cares about his students and willing to help you, if you ask. You don't need the textbook as he pretty much hands you his notes. Homework generally consists of code he gives you and problems you have to figure out. His midterm and final were both relatively easy, even though his final was much harder. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Konig is a very kind person and cares about his students. He prints out the textbook for you and will always help you if you ask. We didn't get through as much material as I would have liked, but I learned a lot. The final was WAY harder than I was expecting but he is a fair grader and takes effort into account. I would take him again.

He's a laid back professor but doesn't teach enough. He gives you a packet of notes & assigns 6 homework packets with codes and tells you to type and modify them, but but there are some codes that he NEVER goes over. So if you take him, good luck figuring it out by yourself. 1 midterm and 1 final, both opening notes, book, and everything.

Passionate teacher. Class is slightly unstructured/outdated, but it does cover timeless sorting algorithms and ideas of Java GUI design (w/ outdated AWT). Easy to get distracted, but if you pay attention you'll get the ideas from line-by-line code traces and projects (mix of copying his code verbatim + your own gui designs)

I have had Konig for both 328 and 444. If you want to actually learn the material from a professor who cares about his classes, take him. He will go out of his way to help you if you only ask. The course material is difficult for both classes, but Konig makes the material easy to understand.

The class was extremely easy. I hardly showed up to class and had 100% in the class still! When he teaches all he does is look at the board and writes the code. Homework deadlines were extended multiple times & most of the code was given you would just need to tweak it a little. By the end of the class i didn't really feel like i learned much.

Want an easy, helpful, clear teacher? Take him. He can make a Psychology major understand how Java works. He is VERY compassionate about programming. He doesn't even require you to get the book (he prints hundreds of pages of notes for everyone!). Tests/quizzes were ALWAYS open book open notes! His tests were STRAAIGHT from the notes!

This guy is very nice. He prints out the whole semesters notes and gives them out. He is willing to help you out. This class is hard specially if you are not a CECS major. Take him for criticall thinking hard class but if you put some effort and actually think you will get it.

Extremely nice person. Always willing to help. He makes up his own notes and prints them out so you don't have to buy the textbook. His class isnt easy by any means but if you attend and study than an A is very obtainable.

Professor Konig is such a nice guy. He prints out 100+ pages of notes for all his students so DON'T BUY THE BOOK! On top of that, he's a really nice guy who is very lenient and fair in his grading/assignments. His class is the perfect difficulty too--not too easy, not too hard. Highly recommended.

Great Professor and very nice. One of the few great professors in the CECS department. He has a great darkish sense of humor. I loved this class and will be taking 444 with him as well. He cares a lot about his students. He printed all your notes in color for you!!! Awesome guy, great instructor!!!!!

Wow is all I can, this guy is awesome. He is very respectable guy and you would be an idiot not to take him given the opportunity. He and Murgolo are the best professors on campus. If you take him for 328, give yourself some time for the midterm 2 which is take home. Other than that enjoy the class.
