He's probably the worst teacher that I have ever had. Class will make you shed tears bc u will be confused most of the time. Havingsaidthat, he is a nice person and if u want to pass GO TO OFFICE HOURS,TEACH YOURSELF MATLAB, DO THE HOMEWORK AND LISTEN TO WHAT HE SAYS WILL BE ON THE MIDTERMS & FINAL. learn how to do KENKEN and GO TO TUTORING!

I would not recommend him. Dealing with this Prof. you will feel anger and frustration. He uses a grading system no one else uses. He is unhelpful and has trouble justifying his methods. Do not think you can change the way class is taught. It is a life skill to deal with bad relationships. But I feel there is no benefit from staying in this class.

In one sentece: terrible teacher in the whole cal state universities He does not give any point for showing work , even though he asks you to show work. Basically, in most questions , he gives you either full points or zero. Do not fall for his smiles , he has a personality issues as he never gives what you really must get. Take mae 205

What the hell was he talking about man. But those jokes though. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This whole time I thought I was in MAE 205. I was very wrong after I got the first midterm. That was probably the main reason for my confusion.

This class is extremely difficult so if you want to do well you have to put in the time and effort. I would highly recommend going to the tutors if you are struggling. And try not the leave the homework to the last minute because it can take awhile.

In my opinion: One of the worst professors. He is very unhelpful when you have questions. He often argues with students. Very hard on grading. Definitely not a 2 units class. I really wanted to leave a nice feedback but there is a lot of room for self-improvement.

He expects you to know that material well enough, goes on tangents during lecture and lab. When you ask a question, he doesn't give you a direct answer. Grading scale is confusing as well as his exams and homework. Too much work for a two unit class.

If your computer skills are only great for updating that facebook page, you are in for a rude awakening. 80% of the homework is unclear and the tests are hard. If he makes an mistake on grading your exam, he will find a way to not give you full credit. No soultion manual for this class good luck!!!!!

Listen, Gast is not fun. However, going in with a crappy attitude is not good either. You have to take CE 206 and you have to take it with Gast, so be prepared. Lectures are confusing, but you learn. Tests are miserable, but passable. Class is intimidating, but manageable. Overall, it was not fun, but you have no other choice, so get over it.

The professor was always unorganized to class. He always seemed forget to fix the problems on his exams. The main thing that concerned me was the exam examples he would put up, it was very hard to read and it didn't make any sense. I don't recommend taking this class unless you want to fail and have a super hard time. He's a good guy, unorganized.

Has to be the worst professor in the engineering department. Take MAE 205 if you can instead. Tests are very hard and averages are often 30% of the total points. Curves and grading are confusing. Homework is very hard and tedious but its important to at least attempt every question. Way too hard for a 2 unit class.
