A true outstanding accounting instructor! Professor Stanton taught me so much not only about business, but also about life. His contagious positivity and his ability to connect with students made my time in his class a terrific experience. I highly recommend his classes. Especially, 120B where he teaches M&A, partnerships, derivative, and hedging.

Vic makes the boring subject of accounting pretty interesting. If you come to class, do the homework, and ask questions you'll at-least get a B+. The workload is minimal and the tests are based almost entirely on the lectures.

His teaching is not well-organized and there are too much for only one semester. Before taking this class, you have to know most part of knowledge of accounting already. And he is not very willing to solve your problems afterwards. But GSI is more helpful and well-organized though.

He's the man. He literally tells you questions and topics to focus on for his exam and essentially tells you the open-ended question before the exam. He's funny, honest, and makes the class pretty easy and doable

On a professional level, he is horrible at responding to requests and does not keep his commitments or promises. I would never want to work with him since he cannot be trusted.

I took three accounting classes with Professor Stanton and I enjoyed them all! His exams are not very difficult if you understand the concepts. I recommend you to read the textbook although it's not required, so you'll know the materials well enough for the exams. Practice exams are a big plus too!

Prof. Stanton is a really great professor. Some people say Stanton is hard, but I have to disagree with it: advanced accounting is hard in nature, and Stanton actually prepares his students well for the exams. If you put some effort and do the practice problems that he handed out, you will do just fine.

Stanton goes through the material at a very fast pace, so it's hard to take it all in. It's true that you must read the book and teach yourself. Fortunately, the practice exams he handed out were great preparation for the midterms and final. Tests were generally fair. Though a bit out-of-touch with the students, he is very friendly and helpful.

Exams are very difficult. Random MCs comes from anywhere. It could be minor stuff that he never talks about, but come from the knowledge of prerequisite classes. Text books are not very helpful. You have to make sure you have a well-rounded knowledge to do well in this class

He is actually harder than other people talk about. I am taking him this summer, and the mean of the exam comes up is dramatically low. Though teaching quality is not bad, but the way he taught the class is pretty intense

Took 120A with him as well. Though 120B is harder and more boring, Stanton makes the class more funny and interesting. He's a really chill person who is extremely helpful and always willing to answer questions. I have never met a more dedicated teacher enthusiastic about his students as he. Definitely recommend for accounting classes. A+++

Only he and Cerf teach 120A. And between them, I definitely recommend Stanton. His teaching style is, though a little dry, very clear. He knows the stuffs pretty well. He gives examples that compare different acct methods. That's very helpful.Personally, he's a bit aloof. and his jokes are not funny at all. overall, way better than Cerf

His unique policy of ONE FULL LETTER GRADE for missing more than 8 homrworks PROBLEM SETS almost screwed me up. I got really scared in mid-semester because I missed more than 8. He said no when I tried to get out of this. However, he still gave me the grade I deserve after finals. I think he is a pretty nice guy, but very strict =)

He reads straight out of the book. He's boring and if you want to do well, you'll need to study on your own. Class wasn't easy, but wasn't super hard that you couldn't understand what was going on. You just have to read the book and memorize the stuff.

He's an aloof guy but pretty nice, he gave me some pretty good career advice. His lectures are dry and straight off the book's website. Overall, his tests are pretty chill and he grades on a generous curve, I think 30% of the class gets an A- or better.

The lecture kind of goes fast but he tries to make the materials as interesting as possible.. Exams are not extremely hard, but basically in this class you have to study on your own..not a very hard class but not an easy one either

Extremely difficult class. S is not clear, teaches straight from PPT and goes way too fast. boring, as well. material is not easy to understand. book is terrible and does nothing to help you understand the material. best thing is to not take this class at all.
