Comment:

For a college professor, he sure has a very bad spelling accuracy percentage. He spells every person's name wrong that he mentions. And he also pronounces a lot of their names wrong. He gives us questions verbally ONE TIME but he says them so fast that even the fastest writers could only get half of them written down. Never taking his class again.

Hes an okay professor at best but like one review can be condescending when people start to participate. His lectures are extremely boring. Gives out like 6 quizzes and a final but the quizzes are at home so its easy. But O would try someone else before him.

This class is very lecture heavy, if you aren't there you miss material and when he explains he talks in a very monotone voice that makes you want to fall sleep. When he explains his material, its such in a boring way and doesn't make the class any interesting ! Very difficult overall.

I took this course over the summer along with another course. As long as you read the lectures, watch the videos and read the chapters assigned (which should be expected in a college class) youll be fine. Definitely recommend again. Make sure you do your blogs tho!

Horrible professor. Doesnt ever respond to emails. He asks for assignments to be turned in through the canvas email system. Three weeks after turning in an assignment, he still has not given me credit for it. I have emailed him during the whole three weeks about that, and still no response. Save yourself the headache and take a better teacher

I registered for Nobile's Online class for credit. There was some initial confusion while attempting to navigate Canvas. A few of the assignments had broken web links or were mislabeled as other students have noted. You have to do some "digging" around the course or actually Google some of the lectures. His response to email is sometimes slow,also.

Nobile is a fine person. However, he is a horrible professor, he is un organize, and goes off topic multiple times. He literally lose my Final Exam and gave me an F in the class after emailing him for 2 weeks straight he finally answered me saying that the best he could do was to give me a B even though I had an "A" throughout the semester.

He is the most unorganized professor I have ever taken! Unorganized online study dashboard, unorganized study materials (We have to find class materials online by ourselves!) The worst part is, he NEVER replies our email!!! He only uses Canvas message systems, which could easily miss our homework submission and he did! 6 quizzed, 5 blogs, 1 final

Comment:

Nobile covers CRUCIAL, under-discussed history, & its so informative + engaging. NOTE: He doesn't lecture from a PPT, so u need 2 come 2 every class, & take thorough notes. Cons: If class is hesitant to ask Qs, he can be rude & condescending, which in turn doesn't create a welcoming enviro for Qs. Overall: Loved the material, not the condescension.

Disorganized, some lectures that are assigned for the week remain locked and can't be accessed on time. The instructor encountered a lot of "technical issues". 95% reading lectures/books, 5% videos, 0% interaction with other students. Lectures/content were not available in advance, expect work every week.

Over all the class is really good. The professor not only requires you to read but also to watch videos from time to time. At the beginning you get up to 3 tries on the quizzes, and they are have to do with lectures of the week. He will email you back in a good timing manner.

Worst Prof. yet! He is completely unorganized and actually uploaded the wrong essay file to my class and did not respond to any emails with questions. Doesn't tell you what to study, talks a lot/ goes off on tangents and expects you to remember it all, no PowerPoints to base notes off of. Only thing he has going for him is a few jokes here&there.

Beware he is unorganized with his assignments he gets all his classes mixed up. gives no structure in what will be doing no PowerPoints or notes to guides to help study. he talks a lot and expects to remember everything he said. so I recommend to record him. Dont take this class.

Best to avoid this guy. Terrible communicator. Doesn't answer emails in a timely manner. Today was graduation for some, and our grades are still not posted. He loves typos and grammar errors. I took this class online. He THOUGHT he scheduled a quiz and disappeared for a week. Nobody could find him. That's just unprofessional. AVOID THIS GUY!

This teacher was very hard and doesn't give good lectures. He has a style of just talking, using no powerpoints and writing only one word on the board. He expects you to know everything that you have read in his chapters. On his 6 online quizzes, the questions are worded very weird and its hard to choose the right answer.

I could listen to this man talk about history for hours and not get bored. He has independent views so that's better because he doesn't always teach the pretty side of history. He doesn't sugar coat anything and is very upfront about American history. He is slightly disorganized though, he forgets to post assignments

As a professor, he is passionate about the subject, however he is also very disorganized and as a result the class has little direction and topics are often repeated in lectures. I didn't feel the class was too difficult; however, attending the class, paying attention to lectures and taking decent notes is a must.
