This class requires all your brain power to fully grasp the variety of content. Luckily, Prof Nault does his absolute best to guide his students to mastering the material by going over homework, quizzes & tests. My class started off at 35 students & ended at 17. Embrace the challenge & you will do fine. Find the best studying method & stick to it.

I wish I could give Professor Nault more than 5 stars. He is an exceptional professor, he is super approachable and willing to help. He makes sure that you develop a really strong foundation in Acctg 1. He offers 10-15 points of extra credit on tests and gives points for homework. He goes over all homework problems and goes above and beyond.

If you want a professor that teaches, this is not the class for you, you basically teach yourself with your textbook and then you go over homework thats basically it. His lectures is just what you read so if you dont read then you probably wont pass.

He is the worst instructor!!! IF your major is not accounting then don't take this class. He will make you a living hell , for you. I don't recommend any business major to take him especially , for international students.

Prof. Nault is a good professor and is really passionate about Accounting. I don't specifically like accounting so i found it a little boring, but if you like accounting take him! His exams are not hard, if you study you will have a good grade but the quizzes that we have for every chapters are challenging. Do you HW, study and it will be ok

Lectures might seem boring at first but if you get used to it, you will realize how helpful he would be throughout the semester. I would say that he is very kind-hearted, friendly and cares a lot about his students. He gives a reasonable amount of homework and they are very helpful for you tests. He is one of the reasons I love going to SMC.

Professor Nault is one of the top professor in the Bus Dpt at SMC! I really enjoyed being in his class. My advice for you is to plan a good schedule, read the chapters when assigned (even the ones right after to be on top), do the homework, ask as many questions as you want and you'll pass with an A. He's very approachable and really care about us!

Nault is a good guy. He definitely wants his student to succeed. Accounting is not hard. It's like learning a new language, you MUST dedicate hours to master the rules of accounting. Not difficult, just VERY time consuming. You must be very self disciplined to do the homework and reading. If you're a serious student you will get an A. If not, run.

I'm taking Accounting 2 and I see other students in Accounting 2 class who are having hard time to understand and learn the materials because their foundation is not strong. Please listen to his lectures and do your homeworks the way he wants. The weekly tests are so useful, they help you to stay on the right track.

I like him a lot. I'm an international student. If you don't know the meaning of the words he explains you. So don't worry about this part. In his class you should study hard and do your hw and be ready for the quizzes. He never surprises his students. You easily can get a good grade if you study 12 hours each week.

He is the best professor ever! Taking class with him was my best experience at SMC. I took Acctg1 in Fall 2015. He is so nice and dedicated. He loves to teach and I hope he never gets retired. For this class you need to study HARD and this is just the nature of Accounting no matter who is your professor. I really loved his class and I learnt a lot.

Once an Accounting 2 teacher came to our class and told Mr Nault that his best students always seem to come from this class. MR Nault breeds good accounting students because he is one of the best SMC has to offer. If you read and start homework questions before his lectures you will Learn. Read in the weekend and practice problems before Tuesday.

Professor Nault is one of the best teachers I ever had in this college. He takes 2 best exams out of 3, 10 best quiz out 12, and he is a very patient and smart teacher. He explain the hard vocabulary for foreign students in a test. However, his exams and quiz are pretty hard. I would take his class if he teach acct 2. (He reply email super fast)

If you really want to learn you definitely should take accounting with him. The materials are not easy but he makes it smooth and understandable for you, actually you need to STUDY HARD too. He ALWAYS comes early and stays after class to answer your questions. He is so nice and caring. He is one of the best professor that I've ever had! Good luck!

He is such a nice guy. Unfortunatly if you are straight out of highschool with very little experience in the business world you will struggle. He wants to help his students understand but he isn't very good at explaining. He cares a lot but I dreaded his course and studied countless hours only to receive a low C. 70 percent of the class dropped.

Best teacher I have ever had. I removed the "respected" tag above to make room to add "would take again". I took my first accounting class from Mr. Nault back in 2003. The fact that I Googled his name 12 years later is a testament to the value he provides to students willing to put their effort into learning.
