He rarely goes over what to expect on quizzes and exams, so be prepared to do a lot of work outside of class. He's a tough grader when it comes to essays and other written assignments. He's a nice man, just don't expect this class to be an easy 4.0.

I've had Bill for 3 different classes, that's how great they are. He's funny and an amazing professor with great stories to tell. His classes are pretty easy but to do well you have to show up, do the work and readings, and participate in the class. All his classes have been some of my favorite film classes. Would highly recommend.

Amazing teacher and a very easy class. A bit of reading but you can survive without doing it. No textbook. Great film selection. Lots of discussion time and very interesting lectures. Quizzes and papers are easy. Wants everyone to do well and will offer extra opportunities for that. Passionate about film, overall a very fun class to be a part of.

Amazing professor who is passionate about film and has so much knowledge on the topic. Has seen all the classics when they came out and has acted in a few films. Super funny and it's amazing to hear about his life with film. Attendance is necessary, but the class is easy. Rare homework, definitely could make it without the textbook. He's awesome.

I've had Prof. Vincent for several film and humanities classes. His passion for film and the arts is unparalleled, as is his knowledge of those subjects. His classes are somewhat of a haven for intellectual students and therefore a struggle for those use cell phones and video games for cognitive stimulation.

You either get what he is saying or you do not. His classes are not cookie cutter courses. He will want to see how much you are really paying attention, how involved you are or if you think you are just there because you thought it was going to be an easy 4.0. He can point you in the right direction. Effort success.

What this guy said pretty much sums it up: "he is feast or famine. you'll either be friends with him and get awesome grades, or you'll be a regular student and just pass the class."

Your grade is based on how much he likes you, so play his games. If your class is small, he might invite you to his creepy, trashy house at the end of the semester.

I took him for screen writing and advanced screen writing. He is one of the best profs at Michigan State. He is much like the older father figures that you see in clichéd movies and books--a warm and friendly figure. Just make sure to use proper grammar (it is possible your work will get stomped on during class--leaving the shame of footprints).

Bill is a great prof and knows his stuff. However, if he likes you, you'll get a better grade than if he doesn't. But, the more classes you take w/him, the more you'll consider him a friend than a prof.

He's pretty goofy, but very passionate about what he does. His eccentricites alone make attending class a must. As far as learning from him, yes, you can get a good chunk of screenwriting knowledge from him, but he's more about getting creative ideas flowing then boring "traditional" learning

Enjoyable but boring. Taught Sam Raimi way back when, never gets tired of talking about it. Disrespects animation. Otherwise decent.
