Dr White is a top tier professor. He was flexible with turn in dates and always offered revisions before a final grade. As long as you stay ahead of the work, it is easy to do well. Always go to office hours if you have the slightest concern, he is more helpful one on one than in class. Kind of funny in the "dad-joke" way and really cares about you

White is cool. He's funny and for a subject that isn't fun, he makes it enjoyable as it can be. You have three speeches, some readings. Just as long as you try and convey to him that you care and are making an effort, you'll pass. The class isn't fun, it's just required for most majors as PSU. Do your best, it'll be enough.

Outstanding man, and an even better professor, took interpersonal comm and and cas 100 with him. his lectures are not boring, he keeps the class engaged and is absolutely hilarious. Can be a tough grader at times, but will always work with you to improve your grade.

Amazing experience in Interpersonal Communication class. I learned so much about communication and IT WASN'T BORING!! Professor White is by far one of the best professors on this campus. The study guides for every exam couldn't be more clear. Great experience for it being the first IP COM class at Penn State Altoona. great class to take

He's very unorganized. It can be confusing sometimes with due dates, but he's very flexible, he pushed our second speech back a week and cancelled our third entirely (we did another project involving rhetoric instead) He's funny and very fun. I took him for honors and it was a fantastic class. Would definitely recommend him.

I was so afraid to take public speaking but professor White made this class so much fun. He is so funny and easy to get along with. I thought for sure I would do poorly in a public speaking class, but I managed to get an A. His grading scale can be confusing, but as long as you do what he asks you'll be fine. Definitely take him!!!

Professor White is a really awesome guy! He is a great teacher and gives great advice if you go to him with ideas for speeches. He can be a tough grader but if you follow his grading criteria you can get a solid grade.

Bill is an awesome profressor. He grades a bit heavy, especially since most of us are not good with public speaking. However, he's super chill and hilarious. I do not like talking in front of people, but I always enjoyed his class. He does roll call attendance, so that is a big part of your grade but I definitely enjoyed his class!!

Bill is awesome... for anyone who's nervous about public speaking, take CAS with him. He's hilarious and theres no pressure come speech time. Lets you pick your own topic to speak about which helps a lot and the class gives you feedback to help you improve too. Made CAS so enjoyable and fun, definitely take CAS with prof White you won't regret it.

Bill is a pretty cool guy. He can be a real jerk sometimes especially if you don't believe what he does. He is a very liberal guy and can make a fool out of you infant of the whole class. Grades pretty hard and expects way too much out of students for a 100 level class.

Really glad that I got to take White for CAS. He is very enthusiastic about the subject, and really works to help you improve your speaking skills. Some days felt a bit long in his class, but overall, he makes it clear that he just wants you to improve throughout. The man is also hilarious, and makes class fun when he can. Take White if you can!

This class is a really good experience. I would recommend it to anybody. Prof. White is super helpful, funny, and understanding. You'll come out understanding speech and how to better your speech. All around, this was an awesome class and I totally recommend it. Make sure you show up though, attendance is graded.

Hilarious during lectures and doesn't expect too much from students. Speech are simple and don't require extensive preparation. Impromptu speeches happen and help boost your grade. Show up to class and you will pass.

He's a great professor. There's a paper due every Friday in lieu of any tests, but he's been experimenting with new ways to teach the course so it may fluctuate based on extraneous variables. He swears a lot and cracks jokes often. Bottom line, if you have the text, come to class, and write the reflections, you will pass easily.

Awesome teacher, class is absolutely awesome, just show up, he lets you hand in the reading papers late and his entire class is going over power points and occasional quizzes. Class is very easy and bill white is an awesome professor!

Comment:

Awesome professor, very friendly and very easygoing. Definitively recommend taking him!!!! The workload is very little and he makes the speeches very chill so you don't get scared going up in front of class.
