Her class is by far the hardest class I have taken in college. 5 Exams 100 questions each. She only lectures from the power point, and dose not give a study guide. You are required to read the text book for success in her class. Attendance is mandatory and she does take role. She does give bonus questions, and extra credit opportunity.

Wow. Where do I begin? I got an A in the class--but it took a lot of work. More work than any other UPPER level bio I have taken. She loves to assign projects. One after another. You won't catch a break. I think she forgets we have other classes, too. Oh, and assignment criteria/feedback? It will change DAILY (if you're lucky). STAY AWAY!

You are in for a rude awakening! Hope you remember content from other courses because some of her test questions comes from there. Tests have MC with reasoning, matching, FILL IN TABLE, and DISCUSSIONS. Easy labs. Do great with the project and you will do fine in the class. Stay simple with project choice. Final was over last chapters and pretest.

If you like not knowing what youre doing and not receiving help this is the class for you. She tells you one thing and then does the opposite. Doesnt present material effectively. She cant answer questions. Study PPT they dont make sense, not book. Be ready for discussions on tests. FI project is everything. Dont trust what she says trust yourself.

First, it's normal to be confused in her class, don't let it scare you. Ask her questions, and then ask her more, sometimes her answers are confusing but the more u ask for help, the better u will do. You don't have to do good on her tests to pass. It helps to meet with her outside of class, she will proofread ur papers many times.

She has a lot of experience in her field and is very knowledgeable. However, the criteria for this class is never clear and even she sometimes gets confused. stay ahead on your reading and ask her 12,000 times to clarify something if you don't understand because that's on you. Start early on the capstone and meet her for office hours.

Dr. Burton is by far the SWEETEST professor I have had this semester. She truly cares whether you succeed in her class! The material for me was amazing! It was well-explained and Dr. Button is one to keep you laughing. By far my favorite Biol class to date!! :)

This class is hard because of the material, not the instructor. Dr. Burton does not and SHOULD NOT give out grades like she's donating to charity. You're gonna have to work for it in here. In my opinion, the text goes deeper into the subject than should be necessary for a non-bio major class, which explains the difficulty. This class is a MUST READ

She is a sweet lady! However, this class is very hard. She treats you as if you should already know the material. Most of class is struggling with maintaining a "c" She strictly goes by the books, so you need to memorize the book. (who has time for this)

Unorganized. One of the most stressful classes in my life! Dr. Burton was very nice, but I think she assumed we already knew everything so explanations were nonexistent. Don't worry about the tests because they're not worth much, but perfect your papers and proposal and you'll get an A. On a good note, I'm much better at writing lab reports.

i hated this teacher she is the worst teacher ever not her tests had nothing to do with what we covered in class it was like i was looking at a foreign language, i think she was mixing us up with her anatomy class and it was like her class was the only class extra research and stuff she didnt answer questions told us to look it up i would recomend

She is quite unorganized because she is giving us a LOT of information to absorb. All you have to do is read the book and memorize EVERY definition or else you will be completely lost. Your proposal is very important and pretty much your grade. She tries her hardest to help you understand the concepts of ecology. Be prepared for a lot of busy work.

Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had in 5 years of college. Worthless powerpoints, ridiculous tests, zero help on lab reports, and no guidance on the full blown research project. Assigns an insane amount of work, and grades incredibly hard. Refuses to give clear answer to question or specify what is required in lab reports or final project.

she was unorganized. she used her anatomy book to do our labs and we did not have the anatomy book, which made labs ectreamely frustrating. the labs were graded by her assistants and were not graded consistently and she did not go through and tell us the correct answer. our tests were all 100+ questions that were more detailed than the lectures.

Horrible professor. This is the worst class I have taken in my ENTIRE College career. I was actually interested in biology before taking this class- now I HATE it. She is extremely un helpful and makes you feel like an idiot when you ask questions. If you want a class that feels like hell- then hey, this is the class for you.

She is extremely helpful and always nice. To be honest, the tests are not easy at all. I had 5 tests and they were all 100 multiple questions. She gave us extra credit on almost every test. She is very fair.

I learned a lot in her class. She is really nice. I thought her class was easy; someothers in the class would disagree. The tests weren't that hard, there is always some type of extra credit that isn't that hard. Study the powerpoints and you should do fine. I'm probably going to take her again if possible.

Definitely not the easiest class that I have taken and most cetainly not the hardest. READ the book and do the chapter reviews and you will really do just fine. She is a great teacher who is very eager to help students LEARN not just hand them a grade.
