She lacks people skills. She's unconcerned with student performance. She takes no responsibility if you don't well. I was amazed at how many students were confused by her. The lectures do not match up with her tests. Don't let this person discourage you if you want to be work in law enforcement. Find another instructor. A Real Cop

I love this professor. She made research interesting! She also loves teachings and loves her students. She is very organized and fair. You know what to expect from her. She also does give a lot of quizzes and tests, but thats just to make sure her students actually understand the class. Shes also always willing to help

You need the book and the study guide. You must attend all classes because every day there are a ton of lecture notes. 13 quizzes out of 16 weeks of instruction. 3 exams, plus 1 cumulative final and a 5-7 page APA paper. If you put in the work, you will do well. If you can't handle her structure, good luck becoming a police officer! I got a B+

Farmer is not a bad teacher, she just expects a lot out of her students especially regarding the APA format. I donĂ¢€™t agree students should be tested on material before a professor lectures on it, which she does. She is nice and will help students if they need it. If you like a challenge and want to be held to higher expectations than take Farmer.

She is a very hard teacher! Test every week for each chapter. Need the book. Need to attend class. Lectures are helpful but there is just so much information she covers. She is willing to help you, see her for officer hours. If you're planning on talking her BE PREPARED to not have a life for the semester.

I took Farmer for CRJ 1 and CRJ 101, she is very organized and her lectures are very informational. Crj 101 has a quiz every week from the readings, there are 3 exams and a cumulative final. attendance is not mandatory but you will lose participation points. VERY HARD TO GET AN "A"!!

Without question, she is the WORST teacher in the CRJ curriculum. Quite frankly, I'm amazed that she was chosen to be the grad coordinator. I agree with nearly every critical comment offered by previous students here. She does nothing to offer her students help, she lacks clarity in what's expected, and she relishes in seeing her students fail!!!

Worst teacher I have had yet. Every week you get a new quiz on readings that are impossible to understand. The 2 homework assignments must be in perfect apa format and even if you do exactly what she asks she will mark it wrong. In both of her classes there were no A's. Stay away unless you want to take a hit on your gpa.

Many people dont liker her but i do. she has a very structured class that makes it easy to stay organized and she gives you all the info you need to do well on the tests.there are weekly quizzes on the chp that you will be doing that week. the hardest part are the 2 hw assignments. she is very strict on APA style and citing sources.

Taking this class made me almost want to drop being a criminal justice major and switch to something else. The class is boring, the teacher is not helpful or clear, the reading makes NO SENSE, the quizzes are hard, teacher is not helpful, and every time I come back from this class I want to chuck my book at the wall. HORRIBLE CLASS and TEACHER!!!!!

Worst Professor I have ever had. First Homework assignment she "caught" 13 people plagiarizing and gave them zeros with no chance to make it up. If you use 8 words from a source and put it in your sentence you're guilty of plagiarism whether you cited it or not, or even meant to do it. Avoid this professor at ALL costs! Seriously... turn back now.

A quiz every week - not bad. Tests are very difficult and she uses trick questions and makes you second guess your answers.2 very extensive papers to write and her grading is rediculous. She doesn't give out A's. I won't take her again.

Although I got a B+ in her class, she was just not a great teacher. She lectured wayyy too much, she offered little room for questions or discussion of interesting topics. She makes you write a paragraph pretty much everyday, which was soo annoying! Ugh. I didn't like her but the material was interesting! Take the class, different teacher!

Expect to write a paragraph at least once a week in class on material covered in the textbook. Professor scores paragraphs low in the beginning and gives better scores towards the end of semester so that she can say her class improved your writing. Lectures weren't related to textbook material. Straightforward directions regarding tests/assignment

Dr. Farmer isn't that bad. Sure she talks about plagiarism A LOT, and she scares the crap out of everybody with threats of failing students due to very minor plagiarism mistakes. However, she is very clear on what she expects, and her assignments (mostly quizzes, every week) are not that difficult. What is difficult about this class is the material

Anytime I had a question, all she would say was I don't know. This class should be writing intensive because we had to write paragraphs almost every class and no one would ever get full credit even they did what she asked. Her tests are hella hard. Out of forty questions, half of them are true or false. Be prepared to study hard if you take this class.
