Overall, a great, relaxed person. He has a thick accent but you can still understand him. Traditional, lengthy lectures. Grade is made up of 2 tests, 2 essays, and final. Textbook is only needed for the essays, everything else can be done with the notes.

I love Dr. Zhang as a professor. His teaching style is very traditional, in that he is a lecturer. He is very hard to understand because he is Chinese and has a heavy accent. I would advice you to complete the study guide by reading the text.

Well, the previous comments about this professor R true, his accent is super thick, half the class will be about china, and by the time its time 2 submit an essay for him and take your first big test...you wont know what to write about or what to study. But, this guy is cool and his test are EASY, and he is very reasonable. Read, and come to class

This man is hard to follow b/c of his STRONG Chinese accent. He gives pretty good notes when u can follow them. My thing is... why does EVERY civilization we study make him go right back to how it related to CHINA!?!?!
