Very nice to students, only asks for case facts when called on, wants students to succeed, and is straight-forward. He gets off the subject sometimes, but amazingly comes back after long digressions. All exams are duplicates of his old exam, so the curve is nonexistent!

I really liked Lynch. Rarely calls on people and never intends to embarrass. Will help if you ask for it. Might need to consult outside sources as he doesn't give clarity for analysis. Exam was straight forward and just like his old exams. He makes it simple and gives good practical advice.

Excellent Professor. A little dull but you walk out of the exam knowing all the material. He does not "hide the ball" If you don't do well in the class its your own fault. Always available to help and will make sure you know the material before moving on. Reviews before each class and the handouts are helpful. Rarely calls on people in class.

Lynch is a nice guy, but man is he boring! Like Ben Stein style. His reviews before class are helpful and his exam was straight forward. His last class he seemed to grade more harsh than usual - 10 F's, a bunch of D's, etc. Probably better than the others!

Awesome professor!!! His test is very easy, but the curve is extremely high, 95+ is an A, 90 - 95 is an A-. He reviews everything before class, I wish all professors were like him. If you don't find him to be a good professor, then you have issues.

Lynch is by far the best prof I have had at Cooley! He is very clear and actually teaches you the law (a rarity at Cooley) - you will be amazed when it comes time to review for exams just how much "stuck" during the term. He reviews b4 each class. CIV PRO is so dry but Lynch makes it bearable. TAKE HIM if you have the opportunity - just a nice guy!

Comment:

Professor Lynch is a great teacher and mentor. He exemplifies the Art of Lawyering. If you have the opportunity to take him for Civil Procedure I, I highly recommend his class. He takes his time and truly wants each and every student to learn the material as Civil Procedure is one of the most important classes for a Civil Litigator.

I took him last spring when his son died. I agree with the previous reviewer who said Lynch exemplifies all that is good in the law. I did not expect him to return. The fact that he did shows his level of commitment to the school and his students. Face it, its a dry subject, but it's nice to have a professor who is human and who tries to help.

He was a very good Prof for a subject that can be tough for some. He broke it down to its simplest elements and tried not to make it confusing. Many Profs seem to get lost in big words as a way to elevate themselves. Lynch is a gentleman.

This guy was great. Kept things simple (Like Cox with Contracts) Would spend the first part of next class time reviewing (since he knows the material is dull). Straightforward Exam, you must know the material. Gave out 50+ B- or higher. Great Guy, easily accessible when you want to ask him question. Recommended!

I feel like this guy wasted my time. He spent half of every class period reviewing the last class. I learned the stuff, and he's clearly a nice guy, but I kind of got the feeling that he was trying to do all the work for us...not a positive in my book.

As cliche as it may sound, Al lynch exemplifies all that is good with the law. His son was tragically killed my semester. He came back to teach our class an fufill his obligation.He deserves tremendous respect for that.He made sure the class understood the classic study of civil proceedure and he graded very fairly.Take Lynch if you have the chance
