Incredible Professor. I am very fortunate to have taken a class with him. He is caring, always available when you need help and takes your concerns into consideration. YOU have to want an A. He can only do so much. Very patient as the students nowadays are complete morons and can't keep quiet or focus. Love him. A++

He is an extremely hard grader, I got a C. You have a midterm and a paper. Most of the grade points come from the 10 page research paper you have to write. But, I did learn a lot from this class and a lot of things were very helpful.

Prof. Bloom is the most difficult,yet most rewarding professor in TVF.If you work hard,his teachings will make you much more skilled in documentary than you would have been trying it for the first time by yourself.His classwork is rigorous,but you'll be better for it.He's the best in TVF,more organized and challenging than all the rest.

Before I took his class I never thought of myself as a documentary filmmaker. Now I want to be a documentary filmmaker. Professor Bloom opened up my eyes to the beauty and excitment of documentary filmmaking. Can't wait to take more of his classes.

Lectures are very informative and thought stimulating. the most helpful professor I have ever had. Learned more from him than all others combined. Not just about film techniques but about real life skills. Helped me to become the successfull documentarian I am today. Can be tough but he really knows what he's talking about so dont argue. AWSOME

Very caring professor, his stories are delivered as real life examples of the issues in the class. His willingness to be candid about himself is refreshin. He has a terrific sence of humor and is pushing his students to question thier ideas and see beyond the easy answers. He really helped me to become a professional documentary film maker.
