Great professor very knowledgable. Students tend to criticize him alot but if you get to know him he really wants his student's to succeed and become great journalist in the real world. He's tough and his classes can be a little long and boring to the ones that like to be on their phones and don't like to do work. But overall he's easy.

This class was great!!! Professor Beaupre is incredibly sweet and a great teacher!! He took a lot of time planning out his class and it shows! We had amazing guest speakers and the whole class was involved. I networked with a lot of guest speakers and even classmates.

One of the weirdest classes I've taken. I would never take such course again but it's a requirement for my major. I don't even know what I've learned throughout the semester?! very poor lectures, maybe it was fun for other students but I just did not like this type of 'teaching'.

Talks too much and too long. Didn't really learn anything. He likes to talk over guest speakers and students. Final was ridiculous and should have given a better study guide for it. I hope I don't have him for any other class.

attendance is mandatory. You get put in groups and have to do this huge project, that he basically just uses for the next quarter to teach. If your not a favorite, dont take the class. Otherwise, easy A!

Very rude. If he feels like your thoughts are threatening or challenging to his views, he will shut you up. Poor communication as to what we need to do in class. Although a syllabus was given, all the reading assignments and most of the activities are never covered in class. He emphasized heavily on buying a book, but never used it.

Extremely unorganized, has TA and student volunteers supposedly help run but still manages to confuse more than teach. Uses a stupid PA system that doesn't work and is more of a waste of time. Would reconsider taking his class if I had known any of this prior to taking it. So far does not stick to syllabus and shows way too many youtube videos.

Volunteer for one of the helpers, he loves participation. Expects you to comment on class FB often. Lectures are extensive but are all online. No study guide, changes his mind on how he wants to do testing. Can be condescending when you ask questions, but if you communicate with him during office hours, he can be really helpful.

Easy to get a C Difficult to get an A. I did my work & extra credit too & didn't get an A. Gives the most random questions on tests so study guide is useless. unorganized and unhelpful. put me on the spot for questioning him

Very knowledgeable and has interesting guest speakers. He is a terrible teacher though. Not clear on instructions for assignments. Tests are only 20 questions but cover at least 4 chapters. Gives no study guide to narrow down what from 4 LONG CHAPTERS will be on test. No study guide EVEN FOR FINAL! Lectures move to fast to take any helpful notes.

All we did was watch youtube videos. He clearly does not know how to teach a class. He does not review nor has a study guide and does not tell us what to study. He also grades unfairly and WILL call you out for your writing skills. I DON'T recommend him.

unclear instructor and has a strange grading pattern. he does not give helpful feedback and does not teach you how to use the equipment. he just throws you in and lets you figure it out for yourself. take advantage of the extra credit to ensure your grade because you could think you're doing well and end up getting a lower grade than you expected.
