i'll never look at victorian lit the same way! it was just a freshman course but we learned some deep stuff about women's writing like louisa may alcott. who would of guessed she writes dark lit? miss being in freshman comp. take her if she still offers this!

I've taken many classes with Brooks de Vita at this point. She appreciates and hones her students' efforts as she does an excellent job helping shape our research and analysis skills in order that we become stronger scholars. Thanks to her guidance and enthusiasm, I've presented at conferences, published and succeeded in class and beyond.:)Great!

Brooks de Vita is a very nice woman, and on the whole I liked her. However, she made our class uncomfortable a number of times due to discussions of anything racial. In that area, she tended to take on a you-can't-possibly-ever-understand-this role, which was off-putting. She may have just been having a bad semester or something, but it was odd.
