Comment:

Professor Chance is a sweet lady. She has a very think Chinese accent, however, so it can be hard to understand her. On top of that, she isn't very good at explaining things in general. The tests are really hard and don't really relate to what we talk about in lecture. A lot of homework is assigned as well but the solutions are posted online.

Dr. Chance is a wonderful professor. I have had her for every class she offers and she is very helpful, so sweet and will do everything she can to help you do well in the class. Make sure to study and read the book. Take notes and pay attention to the examples she does in class and things she repeats often. Wonderful and sweet professor!

I loved her because she did not expect you to know this stuff and she actually taught the class. Her tests were very easy and the final was an accumulation of the tests.

D.C. is an amazing prof. and if you work hard you will get an A and walk away with a great deal of knowledge. For those of you who want to learn about higher level physics take this course!She knows her stuff and gets pretty into math and involved derivations with calc3 stuff make phy110/111 look like a cake walk. Honestly i love her That was easy!

Chance is a nice professor, but she does take a little while to understand. The tests and final exams are mostly just questions from previous quizzes. I wouldn't say the class is easy, but if you give at least some effort, you will pass. Aside from a few crazy problems dealing w/ Calc 3 and Ordinary Differential Equations, the work is not too bad.

she is a very nice lady but I agree with some of the other comments. Her class is really easy (she tries to pass everyone,) but negligent on covering the entire subject of physics. High school was more difficult but I think it is just a result of her frustration with the students. What do you expect at WCSU?

Dr. Chance aims her physics lectures at Chemistry & Meterology majors & leaves out stuff of interest 2 engineers, because we don't have an engineering department. She does offer a physics 3 class once in a while 4 those interested. She is very helpful & if you do all the homework exams are not bad, but she does put on "trick questions." CB

Covers High School Level Physics in a college atmosphere. At one point you can tell she new her stuff, but either lack of interest or tenure changed it. Needs to update class lectures and be more dynamic in class. Nice lady otherwise, will help if asked.

Never assume test grades are accurate, always verify answers before accepting. Chance only teaches limited areas of physics, neglecting wave energy, relativity, optics, etc. Lectures are unclear, always read and consult other texts.
