The BEST English professor ever! Everything is explained very clearly. She gives you ample amount of time to complete all assignments. The course is portfolio style and there are no tests. Attendance is mandatory but it is well worth attending!

Honestly, I don't know why they don't change the name of English Composition to Peer Review. You're not gonna learn anything in EH 101, or 102. The stupidity of "peer review" is beyond comprehension.

Dr.Kracke is amazing. Take her! Her test and teacjing style are historical based! I wish she taught 226 the next semester! Write down everything she says and highlight all quotes she reads and the test are a no brainer!

The material is the same cover by all teachers, she's easy because she cares about what she teaches, what you have to say and somehow makes you care to! Best teacher out there. You look forward to go to her class; it feels more like a conversation than a lecture.

Dr. Kracke is absolutely amazing and really cares about the material. If you don't do the readings, you're screwed. She has 1-2 pop quizzes and will hint at when there will be one that's not on the syllabus. Always available and friendly. Highly recommend taking any of her courses. Books required. ALWAYS get notes/quotes from a friend if you miss.

Dr. Kracke is a fantastic teacher as long as you go to class. She assigns a lot of reading, but as long as you get the general idea of the assignment, you'll be fine because she thoroughly examines the text in class - and her exams come directly from class discussions.

She is a great teacher, passionate about her subject. She requires a lot of reading. I honestly rarely did mine, because she reviews the entire thing the next day. Just be careful bc she will sometimes make you speak up, so you have to be prepared. Test are hard but doable. Overall, great teacher!

Amazing English Comp. teacher. She truly cares about her students understanding how to write papers in college and is very good at explaining how to do it. You could be absolutely horrible at writing, and by the end of the semester be 10x better. She goes by Portfolio method which is really nice for your final grade. Take her!!!

Class discussions are interesting - read the material before and you'll follow along fine. That said, she's a rather picky grader - tests are short answer & identifying quotes by author. Gives lots of bonus (in our class, up to 10 pts. on final grade). Be careful, you have to study for this class.

A wonderful class. It will really open your eyes. If you go to class everyday and take notes on what she says about things, you will pass. Keep up on the readings so you will not be lost. She writes stuff on the board and give you hints about the quizzes. Highlight stuff in the book that she talks about. It might be a quote. Very easy!

American Lit is a challenging course, no doubt!!! but this lady makes literature so exciting!If a prof is excited about teaching a course; the same energy is transfered to the students ... I think most prof should take a page from her book
