Amazing prof loved all of her classes. You definitely learned ALOT in this class. For a 100 level intro to Spanish I thought it was too much. She's very funny gives you useful study tips but a hard grader. Half a mark off if you forget a accent . Online work book easier than her quiz.

Comment:

I agree with the positive comments. Language classes are always difficult. Curriculum is set by the department, and Amber excels in helping students cover the material. She's the best prof you could ask for. She supports every student and structures the grading system fairly. Want to feel that you really learned something? Take her class.

She is a great human. She asks every single student how they are, connects with them and asks them questions about their personal life, completely disregarded Spanish. When it comes to Spanish, she is wonderful at teaching it. If you work hard, you will do good. She offers so much help it's crazy how she still has extra time on her hands!

Comment:

Amber is an amazing prof! You will have to work to do well in this class but it is so worth it. Amber explains things wonderfully and uses really interesting bits of information and funny anecdotes in her classes to keep them interesting. At first I only took this class as an elective, but thanks to Amber I'm now looking into doing a certificate!

Amber is a wonderful prof. She is down to earth and very enthusiastic. Amber knows how to make each student understand new concepts. I was unsure about taking Spanish in 100, but she changed my outlook. I am inspired because of her to take another Spanish class.

She is an amazing prof. If you have never taken Spanish before I suggest you take it from Amber. She knows what it is like to learn Spanish as it isn't her first language. She is very helpful. She is cheerful and made class interesting. She also knows little tricks to help you study. This is very helpful.

Very nice person. Poor prof. Get the other female spanish teacher if you're taking this class! Heavy use of the workbook, NO OTHER TEXTBOOKS NEEDED! Save your money and rent dictionaries/becherelles from the library. She also makes no use of the labs, while every other teacher does...

She was unreliable and rarely checked her email in time for her students. Arrived late for class often and if you had questions, she made it seem as though she was talking to a five year old. If she felt that you cared enough,she'd make the effort to help a little bit more. In my opinion, I would have rather spent 101 with Claudia.

Amber is great, the class itself is very difficult. She is so much fun and makes the class interesting, it also helps that her native language is english. The texts can be tough but she is always willing to help! Also she is so so cute and you have so much fun in her class

Amber is such a nice prof. She is ALWAYS willing to help outside of class. She is picky on tests and marks them really hard. Class was interesting, she tried to make it as fun as a language can be. Her labs weren't structured so there was no point in going, which sucks because labs can be helpful. But, I would definitely take her class again.

She is a sweet heart but the class is alot of work and actually quite difficult, My marks are usually B's-A's and i had trouble passing this class, She is incredibly helpful but if you cant keep up you will be in trouble.

Amber was by far the best prof I've ever had. Spanish was NOT her first language so she understands the difficulties in learning it. She gives lots of homework but it is usually very easy and can be mostly finished during class time. Also, she is a sweetheart and really cares! Definitely take her if your taking spanish!!!!

Awesome prof! Always willing to help when ever is possible! Always makes the materal clear and has a great sense of humour, probably one of the nicest prof's iv met! Gives a bit of homework, but keep up with it and the class is a breaze! thanks amber!

Amber is EXTREMELY helpful, understanding, and flexable. She really wants people to succeed. There is a LOT of homework, but it's absolutely necissary! She does EVERYTHING she possibly can to make sure people understand this class. I am STILL struggling in Spanish, but Amber has done everything she can to help me along the way.Take Spanish from her
