I took his online class and liked it very much. The homework he assigns is very time consuming but it definitely helps for exams. If you slack off on the homework it will hurt your grade, so schedule time each week to complete it before the exam. He is very helpful through email. Great professor to work with online definitely recommend his class.

Comment:

The teacher is pretty easy if you've taken Spanish before in high school, but you have to do lot of homework and lab assignments (basically completing pages in the lab portion of your textbook) every class day and a quiz/test every week. He's also really helpful, but only if you ask. Lastly, there's extra credit in the form of attending tutoring.

Took his Spanish 180 class in spring, it is extremely time consuming. There is homework every night and a test ever other week. Large Packets of work due when the test is due. The professor is very helpful but be prepared to do a lot of work and studying.

Great professor, easy A! I took his class online,you will have a lot of homework,but nothing defficult.I learned a lot of spanish with his course. He offers 3 extra credits in the semester,if you need help send him an email,he will respond asap. Great teacher.

His course is an easy A! There is homework due everyday in class, which helps keep up with the class. He also offers lots of EC. He is hilarious/sarcastic. He won't help you unless you ask. So if you take his course and you do not understand. JUST ASK! He will be very helpful!

Online class- Outrageous amounts of hw and labwork. Extremely time consuming class. He is not too great about communication; you'll have to try him several times before you get a response. Double check your test scores because I caught errors and it affected my grade. If you're able to, take the regular session instead.

This is the most honest review you will read about him. Does not have good communication, it's seem you will fail it the first month in the class. Then he surprises you with alot of extra credit that makes it imposssible to get anything less then a B unless you are lazy and not putting in the time. TAKE HIM.

I'm going to admit if u didnt take Span in highschool, it might be difficult. Make sure to study, do all the lab work on time. I got EC for so many lab hours because I would just do my other class hw in there. Highly recommend going to class everyday, study for your tests but in total was a breezy class. Understanding, funny guy. Highly recommend!

Don't take it online. It's STUPID & very time consuming, more so than other lang. teachers. There's TONS of online homework to do AND chapter homework you do on Word & email him. Tests are okay, but he's picky about your answers. Overall, online Spanish is for those w/ a buttload of free time on their hands. Don't take if you work more than 15 hrs.

I seriously encourage all hispano-latinos to take lopez. Although the class is multi-cultural there just isn't enough hispanics that take him. He will teach everyone and wishes the best grade for everyone possible. Even works with you if you miss quizzes and tests. If you have an interest in spanish this class works. Not to mention a good laugh.

I took this dudes online class.. aah so easy and he does respond to students questions. The only thing that he does take a little while, which really doesn't matter, is lettingyou know wheter he did receive your homework. 99.9% he does and you receive full credit. Overall online class = perfect.

I love Dr. Lopez. He is a great teacher and really wants to see everyone get an A in his class. You definitely need to put the manhours in at the lab but it pays off in your grade and in your knowledge of the language. I definitely recommend Dr. Lopez as he is the most patient and funny professor I have come across at this school. Salud!

I learned a lot! As long as you show up to class and do the homework and classwork you'll do fine. The chapter tests are based on the study guides ( if you at least do that, easy A) Labs & Workbooks count as 10 extra points on your tests. Extra Lab hours help BIG TIME!
