Comm is difficult for some, but she makes you feel very comfortable, You take a couple easy tests. Just practice your speeches at home and you should be fine, she's a good grader.

The best professor at Long Beach City. The best class I have taken at this college was her Comm10 class. Highly recommended and would take any of the classes she teaches. She makes everything really understandable and tests ARE NOT hard.

Professor Ridenour is an awesome professor! She is very friendly, approachable, and encourages improvement in your speeches. Do your speeches, turn in assignments, and show up to class and you should be fine.

This class will make you step outside of your comfort zone! But it's totally an easy A. Rarely used textbook. Exams are easy just study what is on the study guide(which is fairly short).

The best professor I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students doing well on their speeches. She is very clear about her grading on speeches and gives multiple examples on what to do and handling communication apprehension. If you're thinking about taking her class, you won't regret it.

Prof Ridenour will grade your speeches hard on the items she tells you at the beginning of the semester like time. She's funny and really makes sure you know what you're doing. You have plenty of time to go over speeches in class and ask for help. If you do the work, follow her rules, and practice at home a little bit you'll be fine.

Mrs Ridenour is the best! I was so terrified of public speaking but she was so sweet! She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed and is so understanding! She has to be one of the nicest professors Ive had. There are a good amount of speeches you have to do but they are incredibly easy! If you take communications take Mrs. Ridenour!!!!!!

Prof. Ridenour is incredibly sweet! Only times you'll be taking notes is when she's going over speech outlines. She is very understanding when it comes to communication apprehension, always gives good & kind feedback & is always encouraging one to do their best. I strongly dislike public speaking but i wouldn't mind taking another class of hers.

Ms. Ridenour is such a kind teacher it's crazy. I was going to wait to give my review until the fall semester ends, but I couldn't hold back- She's THAT phenomenal. I'm terrified of public speaking but she just makes the class/environment very bearable. Take her class! It's very simple and you'll be able to use the skills she teaches later on.

Analisa is such an amazing human. She inspires her students and pushes them out of their shell. She encourages them to be themselves, and to love and trust themselves. I wish I could take this class again because there is nothing like it.

Professor Ridenour is not only hilarious and caring, she really knows her stuff! I took her for spring and she managed to make public speaking not only doable, but actually kind of fun. She's super clear on her expectations and feedback and what she looks for in speeches. As long as you show up to all your speech days, you'll do well.

Analisa is extraordinary - this was my 2nd class with her, she really helps students to develop their communication skills, and to build on their strengths. Be willing to dive in and get involved and you wont JUST get an A, you will also grow. Not a lot of homework, only a few in-class performances and a great final group performance. Class is fun!

Enthusiastic and fun! This class will pull you out of your comfort zone, but you will learn so much about yourself along the way and Analisa is the professor you want throughout the experience. Show up as there are participation exercises almost daily, not a lot of lectures at all, ask her for help cause she is willing and rehearse!!!

Ive never written a comment for a professor before but I felt the need to this time. Hands down, THE best professor Ive had at this school!! She is very understanding and will accommodate is needed. She trys to make class fun && is very easy to talk to. She is also considerate if you fear public speaking just so long as you try.

One of the best professors I have had! There are a total of 8 speeches - 5 of them are 1.5-2.5 minutes long, one is 3.5-4.5 minutes long, and the other two are 6.5-7.5 minutes long. She gives you the outlines for each speech so you can follow her structure, making speech writing a lot easier. One midterm and final, but both are easy. TAKE HER!

TAKE HER! Analisa, is amazing! Took for her Comm 10 & Comm 50. She requires a textbook for Comm 50, but youll pass if you dont buy it because she provides her book on the projector when you need it. I bought it & only used it twice the whole semester. She is an easy A! Beware of a group project in front of a daycare.
