I learned a lot in this class. Glaeser is caring prof but also pedant in a good way. I'm not a MSE major but the class was equally beneficial and needless to say necessary. The work load for this class was, without any exaggeration, three times as much as my other classes. Plan to spend three 4 hours session per week just for doing the homework.

This class was a lot of work and difficult, but I ended up learning a lot. He explained the material thoroughly and wanted the class to do well. The class was more geared towards MSE majors, but I found it to be useful as a CEE major.

Homework sets are very challenging and often very frustrating/time consuming. About 2 homeworks a week. Wants students to do well, but grades hard. Drones in lecture, easy to zone out or fall asleep. But covers material well. Tests are the same difficulty as homework.

Awesome professor --- my favorite during undergrad. Clear, succinct, beautifully drafted lectures and notes. Better than any text in thermodynamics you will ever find. Homework problems are constructed with clear goals in mind. Great!
