He doesn't cover book material and has a lot of MCQ/Quiz on it, so self studying is key to passing. However, I think his Excel teachings are resume worthy and probably the best things I've learned within my 3 years of college. There were 22 A's, 48 B's, 50 C's, and 9 F's. I got an A through his exam curves and self study. He's retired now.

He is a really bad professor. A majority of the exam are on material that he never talked about. People say that it will be worth it, do not believe and save yourself the stress.

I felt that his class was intimidating at first but as the semester went along, it wasn't that bad. Quizzes were based on textbook which he never covered in class. The heaviest part was the Excel Project on the second half of semester and as you started it as early as possible, you could finish on time. I learned a lot about Excel in his class.

About 15 quizzes based off textbook. Midterm/final based off textbook and Excel. Project given after midterm that takes 40+ hours to complete, if you want an A. Definitely a tough class; however, I will say that I'm practically an Excel god now. I got an 88% in the class. Quizzes/tests use from text bank. Wont answer a question unless its SPECIFIC

Took this class to master excel. thought i could handle his personality. I was biting my tongue every time he spoke to me. i was actually scared to go to that class every week.. he made it so miserable. I currently have an A in that class and im struggling... I feel bad for the other students. I would NOT recommend him.

Has absolutely no social skills BUT I will say I learned A LOT from his class. This course is 100% focused on excel. So if you're not familiar with excel, i'd recommend taking him because you'll learn a lot. First day of class seemed very intimidating but it's not that hard. There's hardly any homework but there is a quiz almost every class.

So there is two books for the course, the textbook and his lab manual. There is a mid-term and a final. Half of the mid-term, the entire final and the quizzes are completely off the textbook(material not covered in class). On class, he covers controls that can be used in Excel that minimize input errors. The excel project is complex. Learned a lot!!

Does not slow down, will not repeat, and won't give you a straight answer. With the amount and quality of information learned in this class, he has no time to slow. He teaches only ms excel, front and back. Giant excel project at end of semester: make it organized, use old projects as guide, take good notes! Would take again, very professional.

Luzi is an amazing professor. Don't be prepared to be spoon fed the answers. Major Excel project but expands on skills and knowledge. Do not start last minute. Take advantage doing some in class and asking questions. Exams are average, read his workbook and some of the textbook. Great professor that tells it how it is. Recommend if want to learn!

Bad, Not helpful AT ALL, weekly quiz, ask questions that are not from the reading materials. Long project. Good: material taught in class are REALLY useful in the future. Build you a good habit with excel. Alot of extra credit. The most possible A I came close to, even I ended with a B. He is my fav accounting at CSUF right now.

He just walks and talks, never stops and repeats. We take him 'cause excel is helpful for our career. Conceptual questions are hard and nothing to do with practical accounting work, so whats the point to learn? Computer grades all the work for him, which means he just chills at home. Bear with it 'cause he is the only one teaches excel

I learned a TON of information in this class. Class consists of 2 Exams (60% of your grade), 1 large excel project (20% of your grade), and quizzes from the textbook almost every class (20% of grade). The excel project is huge but actually a lot of fun! I learned things in excel that I did not even know existed. In the end you will love Luzi!

There is a good amount of (necessary) textbook reading in this class, and the project is very time consuming. I put over 50 hours into it. That said, you get so much practical experience working with excel in this class. No regrets taking 307 with Luzi.

You have to read the book to pass the quizzes and you also need it for the midterm and the final. The excel project is really overwhelming at first, but it's not as bad once you sit down with it. Try doing it with another person or two so you can help each other along he way, it makes it a lot easier and less overwhelming.
