Comment:

Very tough teacher/grader, but kept the class moving. Got a ton of info/benefit from the class, and I've worked in IT 25 yrs. Very knowledgable about the material, but definitely arrogant and a bit too much of an Apple fanboy - not exactly objective. Moved through the material very quickly. Most challenging class & instructor I've seen at UM-D.

Class is challenging, but extremely interesting! Andrew is very knowledgeable about the subject and the current events are very relevant to the class material. Tests and quizzes are short answer. I really looked forward to this class every week.

He teaches in the U.S. and Europe. I have studied in both places. His style is very European. He doesn't babysit and will challenge you. I didn't and still don't have an interest is the subject, his course was mandatory. I would only recommend taking his class if you're interested in learning, not just obtaining a degree. If you try, he will lead..

He is the hardest Professor. His exams are short answers one part and long answers the other part.I take my exam at D.R.C. because I have a learning diablity. I had came out short with 30 half more and he would not honor my request. As a result I was unable to previl with on the second part, therefore the entire exam was a failue.

Took 351 and 371 with Andrew, he's awesome. I agree with other comments, sometimes explanations need clarification, but ask and thou shall receive. He is more then willing to help anyone with anything. You will not find a soul at U of M who is more dedicated to technology. I received an A in both of his classes with minimal effort.

I had andrew for Mis 351 and he really disappointed me in Mis 371 in winter semester. He just confused all the students with so many concepts and ways of doing things. I would say that it was one of the hardest class i ever took. And by the way i am also a really hard working student, not like the usual ones.

Great professor, extremely clear lectures. The class material is hard, he does an excellent job explaining everything and does not teach word for word from the book. Quizzes are difficult, exams are difficult, other portions of the grade are extremely easy. He can answer any question, if you do not understand something, ask him.

If you want to learn about MIS, take him - he knows his stuff. Take good notes on lectures to do well on tests. He is very clear about expectations and grades accordingly. Always willing to answer questions and spend time as necessary to make sure you understand. Would rate as top 10 prof. at UMD!

Professor Urbaczewski is a very poor instructor. The lectures are verrrrry boring. The tests focus on picky points. Little actual thinking is needed to get a good grade. One of the worst at UM-D!

Andrew is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. He really cares about students and takes time before class to sit around talking to people about random things. I had him for a night class in the winter and he always let us go early if the roads were icy. Study hard though!
