Dr. Stave was not respected, she was known to be a thwart. The strangest thing was that she would bring bins full of past studentwork, then group you to copy them. She made students who asked questions stand in front of group and mocked them. She claimed to have a photographic memory then not recognize you if you were there at office hours

THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!!! She honestly has no clue what she is talking about. She is all over place and is very useless when it comes to answering questions. You have to figure things out on your own without her help. Good luck on the tests. And no matter how good of a writer you are, she will find something wrong with it to talk to you about!

Comment:

Stave's not exciting, but not terrible to have as a professor. She's pretty lenient about late work and encourages you to produce quality writing. Word of advice-she goes by Hacker, meaning you will have to follow a style of writing that you most likely won't agree with. Don't argue, we've tried. Show up, do your work, you'll be fine.

She does not respond to questions without becoming defensive. She is personable, but extremely difficult to actually communicate with, so it catches you off guard how completely dense and jumpy she is. She has too many materials and her instructions are unclear. All I have learned in her class is to avoid her!

This may sound corny, but Dr. Stave is a wonderful professor of education--very insightul, observant, and encouraging. You get out of her classes what you put into them, and more.

It is true that she want you to be a prepared teacher; however, she does not make it easy. I changed my major because of her. There is a lot of busy work. i would of done better in the class, if I knew what she wanted. When I came for help, she said "Are you going to be this un-prepared when you are a teacher?" For Christ sake, all I would of liked

The best professor I have ever had in my life. She cares about what you are doing and helps every step of the way. what do people want from theses class? you are becomming teachers you are going to have to be on your own at some point, god forbid she is getting you ready for that.

I can honestly say that I have learned nothing from this course. Instead of discussing and practicing material we will need when student teaching, we waste time and do busywork. She is so out of date with her teaching styles it's pathetic. Stave you need to retire! I feel very unprepared!

I am still unclear as to the purpose of all those summeries and assignments. She should NOT be in Education: no answers to questions, no reasoning or purpose, and puts into practice...the opposite of good teaching. How ironic. How sad.

This woman forgot how to teach, pretty funny cause she's theaching us how to. Maybe she should video tape her class and watch it. Very monotone and very nice. Class is super boring, bring a pillow.

AN Excellent Professor and a workstudy boss. Dr. Stave is the nicest teacher. She can be tough, but being prepared isn't about being easy. Life sure won't be easy all the time. She cares about her students who are willing. I love you DR. Stave!

Speaks in a monotone voice, hard to remain interested. Assigns a great deal of busy work, super boring. Big on professionalism which means NEVER miss class and NEVER show up late AND NEVER leave early. Thematic Unit sucks big time-HARD/BORING.
