Comment:

During my time as a student at UAA, I have only encountered two professors that I felt should not be teaching. Jache is one of them. Her blackboard and assignments were confusing during the capstone and she was rude, unprofessional and verbally agressive. She assigns a lot of homework and the lack of structure makes the class even worse

Comment:

All of professor Jache's classes are fast paced with a lot of work. This class is no different. This professor has always been unorganized in her lectures and assignments. It was hard to communicate with professor Jache in Cap A&B. I noticed professor Jache was frequently discourteous and impatient with some students in the class.

If you can avoid this class, DO IT! this class is HORRIBLE! Every time someone walked into this class you can tell no one liked this class. Her tests are hard. Her attendence is stupid but go to class. She is very unrelateable and very unclear. She seems like she doesn't care for your question. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. AVOID IT!!

The book is where all the info comes from; during class she lectures and it's merely a vague and dull review. She does in class activities that aren't helpful. Essentially, class isn't mandatory; as long as you study the book well, the tests are easy. Her blackboard, assignments, and her class structure are all confusing, stay on top of deadlines

Everything is super confusing!! Her blackboard is a pain to navigate and always results in a headache. She wants to be helpful but the only thing that happens is you get more confused after getting help from her. Good luck if it's a required course.

Holy cow. Jache is very nice but her assignments are way too confusing and I could hardly understand what she wanted. Her blackboard is WAY too confusing and it's difficult to stay up on assignments. It's like going through a maze. Her tests are pretty difficult. If you don't keep up on the reading and terms, you're in trouble.

This teacher is very knowledgeable but that it is. To get a good grade you have to know the book word for word to pass exams cover about 200 pages in the book. For a 101 class, I don?t recommend taking this teacher, the exams are horrible and her teaching style is just as bad. Sincerely, A/ or B student ONLY

She is a good teacher and loves sociology. Unfortunately everyday in the class I'm more and more confused about what we've learned. Lectures are 1hr 15mins long and in that time frame. She only gets 3 slides done. The study guides she gives are confusing and everything she teaches in class and you'll read in the books, seldom end up on the test.

She is an average teacher. Requires a lot of reading and participation. She is really dedicated to sociology. We always have to relate everything to sociology which gets kind of boring and difficult if you don't pay attention in class. Study guides are not much help. Lectures may get confusing but overall, it's an easy A if you do your work.

This woman makes absolutely no sense during lectures. You spend the entire class trying to decipher what it is she's actually saying. One big writing assignment at the end that was relatively easy. Tests are HARD! Have to really read the book and even then they are hard to get.

I was really excited for this class, only to be sorely dissapointed. She makes no sense, and I'm not sure we do for an hour and fifteen minutes. She creates a lot of unneccessary work for students that doesn't seem relevant to what we're talking about. Although she isn't a great teacher, watching her arm movements is quite entertaining.

This teacher is ridiculous. She creates huge amounts of work that is not needed. She doesn't help you when it comes to her comments, and think you should just know what she means. She's arrogant, and turns your projects into her projects - and completely makes the purpose her own.

She is the worst professor I have ever had. Her test are ridiculous, and extremely hard. She doesn't go through her slides, she is completely boring and will make you want to fall asleep. She is not helpful, her syllabus doesn't make sense. You will not know what you have in this class till she gives you the grade and the end. her blackboard is bad

Professor Jache is a nice person. But, her teaching style is horrible. If you like reading the book and remembering every little detail then this is the class for you. Her test are extremely hard, she doesnt make sense in her lectures, gets off topic easily, and her blackboard is completely off. Her grading system isn't doesnt make sense either.

She is smart and nice. Her teaching style just doesn't really work for me. She babbles on and on and loses everyone. It's not very clear what she's asking for most of the time. Her tests are really hard. If you can read 8 chapts and remember everything u read verbatim then you should be fine. I would never take her for another class.

She is a good teacher for some, but not for me. He teaching style is horrible and it makes it hard to want to pay attention in class as well. I don't understand it very well. When she gets on a subject, she will continue to talk about it for the entire class. Not Recommended.

She is nice. Nothing against her personally, but her teaching style was not for me. She tends to babble on and her point doesn't come across that clearly. The tests are really hard for a 100 level class. She knows what she is talking about but she isn't able to explain that knowledge very well at all. A lot of people felt the same way in my class.
