Comment:
Easy workload but lots of reading. Only gives one assignment a week and 2 extra credit which makes it hard to improve your grade. Answers emails within 72 hrs but most of the time i get no response. Didn't really learn a lot from the class since most of the Hw articles have nothing to do with the criteria of the course. Final is 70 m/c on the text.

Heavy workload. Everything due on one day which gives you time to do it, but if you procrastinate like me, this class is going to be hard for you. Must read many 3-4 page articles and write a few facts and summary from the articles. Huge 70 m/c question test too.

Very easy online class. All you have to do is to read some articles and write some points and feedbacks. A lot of ecs, very easy A.

Typical online class with a clear grading criteria; easy A if you take advantage of all the extra credit and stay on track. 2 textbooks (one for the HW + main one which the 3 tests are based off of). If possible, try emailing her ahead of the deadline to check if you are doing the homework right because she looks for very specific answers.

Mrs. Ishaya is a really sweet and nice lady! This class is pretty simple. Take notes on all her lectures and videos, read the book and know all the vocab and you'll get an A! There are 3 MC exams, you can basically squeeze all info onto your 1 page cheat sheet notes. Choice between an essay or presentation, and a 1 page HW write up every 2-3 weeks.

I took this in the summer. It moved really fast and there was so much work and reading. I did learned a lot. She is very nice and gives review for some of the tests. You are allowed one page of note. Lectures can be boring a times but it wasn't that bad if you are interested in learning other cultures. I enjoyed it.

she can be boring, the accent might throw you off, but shes a really nice teacher.exams pretty straightforward and easy.allows 1pg notes.lectures are in line with what you're supposed to read in the textbook so you can get by without reading.VERY UNORGANIZED.you have to be on top of your stuff, like know deadlines, etc. easy nonetheless

Although attendance isrecorded for five points of extra credit,I missed four days of her summer class (her class is three days per week) including a collaborative (worth 10 points). However, you are allowed to have 1 page (typed)of notes and miss 14 questions on her tests (she curves it and gives extra credit), so I was able to make up those points.

I thought that Ms. Ishaya wasn't a very great teacher. She is SUPER boring and has an accent. At first, I was interested in anthropology, but she teaches her class super boring terms and definitions. Also be expected to read three chapters and four articles per week (you will have homework on 2 of the articles)

This class was great. I took one previously at another school and was totally uninterested. She is extremely interactive and covers the material well. If you have any questions during lecture she answers them immediately to ensure everyone understands everything. I was impressed at how interesting the readings were as well.

Very nice teacher, friendly and approachable. She is willing to take feedback from the class. Lectures close to the reading material for consistency, do the reading/homework & you will be successful. Some fun and interesting projects such as cultural food. I learned a lot about other cultures and ways of life! You will get out what you put in.

Nicest professor ever. You really have to be incredibly lazy & clueless to do poorly in her class. Textbook is small & easy read, her tests are based on the text, she gives a study guide too. Short & simple homework assignments, she scores work very generously. Her lectures reiterate the reading. I recommend taking the course on campus, not online!

I took her class online. Really easy if you read everything and do all the homework. She let's you use a one page cheat sheet for her midterms. Wasn't really helpful though. She was unclear and confusing with what she wanted and she made a lot of typos on her site. Easy A.

Took her online class. Homework is SUPER easy, but the class is based on your three tests, which are easy if you do the study guide, but they are quite detailed. You're allowed 1pg of notes on each test. Two extra credit opportunities, 10pts each, fairly simple...not a bad class for getting GE's out of the way.

Teacher is bad, not consistent, hard to understand. It takes a lot of skill to take a naturally interesting subject, and turn it into something boring. Her accent is heavy, and she speeds through everything. Do not take her if you can.

She's a nice lady. Her lectures are interesting, however the tests are from the book. She throws in random questions too. She is super unclear about what she wants. Do the reading and you'll do fine.

I loved coming to her class and reading different articles of studied villagers and indigenous people. I learned a lot in this class. It opened up my mind to many other perspectives of the world and how societies can function. You have to study for her class to do well. Turn assignments in in time and do extra credit. You will be fine. I got a B.

Summer online class; Fairly easy as long as you complete the TEST NOTES 1,2,3. I can not stress this enough. She allows you to bring the test notes for testing. There is also opportunity for extra credit. The professor is fair.
