Normally I refrain from posting negative reviews, but this class is painful. Meeting in the planetariumno desksand it's only used the first class. Lecture is uninteresting & he is disconnected from the class. Three tests and a final are your only grades. Tests are on four chapters eachabout 160 pgsand questions are SO specific. Skip this class.

Dr. P is interesting. He is very knowledgeable and explains concepts in great detail. By using Cornell Note taking method, I could keep up with the lecture. Study your notes and annotate the text and you will get an A. If you are lazy and don't study - you get the grade you deserve. No bells and whistles , just a great professor.

He lectures the first half of class then you watch a video for the second half. PAY ATTENTION to his lecture notes. The tests are based off of those. I didn't ever open my book and passed his class solely by paying attention in class. His tests are curved and he does drop one at the end. The final is the past tests combined into one!

Professor Peterson knows his lecture. He does a well explanation of what the chapters on the book are about. Make sure to write down his notes. And study in what he focus more on. Make sure to ask for what to study for the midterm. He curves a lot so don't worry if you get 7 questions wrong. Read the book. Hope you enjoy the videos he proyects.

I don't know why this teacher doesn't use slides files instead of boring type writing! The planetary room designed for watching through shy digital systems NOT for giving lectures or watching videos from YouTube. Through a quarter, he used sky digital system 3 times just, so why are we there? His voice is low and some of his questions unexpected

The class and material itself is interesting, however if you tend to get lazy, I do not recommend taking this class. The class is based on 3 midterms and the final, and they are easy, IF you read and study the lectures. He does curve, but overall you need to study if you want to do well in the class.

This class is not easy, but then again the material itself isn't cake. He is very knowledgeable on the subject though, so his lectures are not dull because he expands on topics. He deserves more respect.

This class is bad. It's a ton of reading, and not interesting at all. You will encounter surprise questions on the test that are not from the reading or lecture. It wouldn't actually be that bad if the tests had even the slightest to do with the material he covers, but they don't.

Peterson was an alright teacher, but he often seemed annoyed to be teaching and would rush through lectures. He didn't really seem into astronomy, to be honest. The videos were just the ones mirroring the textbook and like 2 Horizons ones. You'll need to read the textbook to do good on tests, though his lectures are important to take notes on too

His 3 midterms are really easy! Just read the book and take all notes in class. for fast facts and notes. HE CURVES generously on each midterm and this bumps up ur grade by a letter. All my midterms are over 100%. Midterm is recycled questions form midterms. His notes are sloppy and he has monotone voice. Lots of movies in class. Take him! Easy A

Please stay away from this class. Peterson is super monotone with no passion at all. I could sum up his class in a sentence i would say, THE CLOCK PHYSICALLY GOES SLOWER. Heed my advice stay away.

Sloppy handwriting. Cant hear what he's saying. Monotone voice. Is knowledgeable but not passionate at all. Showed movies, but everyone left at the break. Does not use the astronomy projector, only on the first day.

He is not a helpful teacher. He has sloppy and writing that he displays using a projector and moves too fast for students to absorb & ask questions. The class is based off 2 midterms & the final, and they're more difficult than the material presented in class.

I found his class to be more challenging then I thought. He isn't easy and his notes can be at times hard to read. He is very knowledgeable about the subject. His test are multiple choice but not easy and takes a lot of questions from his lectures so you need to be there everyday. Also show the guy some respect and don't talk through his class.

Petersons boring. SUPER monotone. Youll definitely fall asleep in the planetarium. Yea he grades super easy because its all based on a curve but he NEVER uses the book AND he will drop you and not even tell you. DONT take his class if you love astronomy.

Great guy, bases your grade off of 3 tests only. Just make sure you pay attentiion and read the book(mostly pay attention, as he doesn't use the book too much) but anything in the book is game.

Not easy, not hard. Slackers who leave s soon as they possibly can have no right to whine about their grades in this class. Peterson is totally fair! It's a cool class.
