Comment:

Professor Belyea made my fear of medication math disappear. I can now calculate any medication dosages, flow rates, drip rates with my eyes closed. You will make errors in med. dosage calculations, if Dimensional Analysis does not click into your brain. Prof. Belyea turned on my light bulb. Thank you Barbara.

I took Calculations for Medication Distribution and enjoyed it. You HAVE to work the problems her way, otherwise she will mark your answer as wrong. Really helpful for people who have a hard time with math that are going into the medical field. If you already know math, don't take this class.

I was terrified of her the first few weeks of school. She has extremely high expectations but really does care for her students. I am glad that I had her to start out the RN program, I feel like I can handle anything now! Be prepared & do what she asks - you'll be fine.

she is great.u can learn a lot,especially giving med and injection.if u have any prb, tell her.if u'r not clear, ask her. when u feel nervous, tell her that she makes u nervous, so she stops or u'll cry. u hav many chances to practice in HOS w/t her. finish your assignments on due date. u lucky when u hav her. show heR u'r eager to learn nursing

Really tough teacher, but absolutely right. She made dimensional analysis - medical math really easy. You understand how to do it and it really helps during the RN program. Now I know what she wants I wouldnt hesitate to take a class with her again. I know she will help me be the best I can.

She's hard but you will learn everything you need to know for 2nd semester. She's a great lady and teacher. She is supportive and kind during procedures but can be intimidating. I highly recommend her. She's one of the best clinical teachers for 170!
