Beware of closing of school without warning, selling off property at a fraction of its worth leaving you high and dry and in debt. All the while increasing his pay.

Barry is one of the nicest people ever and he cares a lot about his students. However, he is just not a good teacher. Rambles constantly and says things that often contradict each other. Final was borderline unfair.

Great law professor. People expect lots of things when they get to law school, but this guy is the real deal. Prepare to be very confused... Because you should be. If you aren't, you don't know as much as you think you do.

Great Professor. Any student is lucky to have him. Do your work though - it's better to have him on your side than against you.

Genuinely nice guy, but the exam is a complete blood bath. You'll study for days, think you know the material cold, and walk out of the exam remembering 4 million things you were too frenzied to remember/write about.

Barry Brown is a great guy and a lot of fun in class. But after 30 years of teaching property, I think hes lost interest. His lectures go off on random tangents that have nothing to do with the subject. The cases he gives are difficult and usually irrelevant. But...he does teach you the info you need to know. His tests are long and difficult.

Brown's exam was long but very fair. Multiple choice were a little tricky. He is a great guy, class is hard to follow since he sometimes spends more class time making jokes and bantering than teaching property. But assignments are not overwhelming and he is very helpful out of class.

Towards the end of the semester I was having trouble w/ some material. The book was useless for an explanation. Professor Brown was on his way out when I asked him a question in the hall. We proceeded back into his office where he went over material with me for 45 minutes. His exam is an absolute monster, but he's a really good guy.

Biomed Law/Public Policy - Mountain of reading, barely covered in class. Slooow, boring lectures. Didn't seem to care about the class at all. I've seen professors phone it in, but this guy uses a tin can and a string! Poor response time for those writing papers, exam was 1.5 weeks late being released. Thought this was his specialty. Waste of time.

A very nice guy who tries hard to help students understand the more confusing aspects of property law. A fair grader. His voice can be somewhat monotonous and put you to sleep, but a good professor all around.

The most difficult exam I've ever taken in my life. I got a B. Not sure how. He was very helpful to our class, scheduling several review sessions. Seems like a good guy. He's hilarious, but understated. If you don't understand his humor, that doesn't bode well for you. It probably means you're not a bright enough bulb to shine on the final.
