SO MANY READING ASSIGNMENTS. 24 of them. 2 debates. 1 midterm. final is a paper. But as long as you do that, and show up on time, and never miss class, you should be fine. Midterm was AWFULLY LONG and all short-answer/essay questions. If you can find a different professor, sure. if not, she is not that bad. class is bearable, but not enjoyable.

Professor Robnett is such a nice lady. I think this was her first time teaching this course and she met with us individually several times to check the progress of our research papers and give us constructive feedback. Most of the time she would let us out of class at least half an hour early (during summer session). I definitely recommend her.

Grade attendance, midterm, and group project. The midterm was extremely hard, even after studying and all of the reading. Some of the topics were not ever taught. However, there is a VERY generous curve that brought my exam grade from 75% to 135%. But my 75% was the highest midterm grade in the class.... Boring lectures, but overall good class.

Had her for Freshman Uni Studies Women of Color in the Media and all we had to do was watch movies most people have already watched in class every other week. I wish we got more discussion time, maybe watched the movies on our own time and critiqued them in class, but most of it was just movies and her talking, with the exception of a few students.

Professor Robnett-Olsen is a very sweet lady. Admittedly, her lectures are a bit boring, but she seems passionate about the subject. There is a lot of reading required in this class, however, and her exams are tough (though her curves more than make up for it). Nevertheless, it is not difficult to pass this class so long as you pay attention.

Professor Robnett-Olsen is a very nice lady and super approachable. Her grading rubric may seem tough at first, but if you do all of your readings which admittedly is quite a lot and take notes in class, it is not difficult to pass at all. Her exams are ridiculously long, however, but she is a very lenient grader.

Attendance is mandatory and worth 30%. Theres a TON of reading and you have to write a summary for every one of them. Dont even try to skim or bs your way out, TA is very strict on grading. Lectures are extremely boring biased against men. You also have to write a lot by hand: she doesnt allow laptops in class.

It was a freshman seminar: Colored Women in Film. we watched the worst movies ever! waste of time, they were all chickflicks. but she seemed nice, and a little biased.

One of the easiest and least working professors, period. I don't know how much actual information can be taken from her class. Consider her an easy A but clearly nowhere near the calibre of the rest of her colleagues. She's ready to retire from academia.

very clear and easy, good pace, makes the lecture more of a discussion based on student experiences and thoughts.

Had her for Sociology of Cartoons freshman seminar. She was a sweet lady. She offered to cancel class during midterms when we all showed up looking half dead. Very nice in this setting, but I think she would difficult in a real class.
