She does not know how to teach at all basically left all the teaching up to her student helper and when the student helper was gone she was beyond clueless

I really enjoyed her as a professor. A lot of the students in my class thought she was pretty harsh when we had conferences with her but I felt that she gave us useful tips and really helped to improve all of my assignments.

I really love her in Victorian Literature. There is a lot of reading and writing but the way she teaches is amazing. She loves group discussion and I love how the class is very student oriented. I would take her again if I had time for the writing and reading that is required. Definitely take her for Victorian Literature!

Dr. Webster-Garrett is the most difficult professor in the department, but she has also been the most helpful professor for my own writing. I recommend her, but plan to work very hard.

Dr. Webster-Garrett is not the easiest professor to get along with. She often seems a drama queen and provides students with more drama about school politics than educating on the necessary class material. I don't reccommend her unless you want a lower grade than you deserve.

Great professor, she does give alot of work, but none is difficult. It was an easy A for me. Have to do two presentations in front of the class on favorite papers. I didn't find her to be a big feminist, but there were a number of guys in the class. I highly recommend her.

To the poster below me: Well, politics and feminism aren't all bad, if they actually relate to something we're doing. Instead, I heard every day how she hated Bush (well duh) and evil corporations like Wal-mart. Sorry, that relates to literature...how? I guess I just expected a teacher to be professional, and keep her opinions to herself and TEACH.

Love her. Always have loved her. She expects a lot out of her students, and what the hell is wrong with that? And to the commenter below...since when does English not have anything to do with politics or feminism?! Maybe if you read a little bit more, you'll figure out you're making a completely false statement.

Evil teacher! Way too political and feminist, which has nothing to do with English. Assigns a lot of writing, which isn't hard but there's just so much of it, and all piled at once. Would never meet to help me. Avoid if possible!

As an english major, her work load is not that difficult; it just requires reading. She's very patient and doesn't worry too much about late work. Good sense of humor too!
