AMAZING member of the art dept. If youre ever stuck with a project in ANY of your studio classes, he always has some weird advice that somehow gets you through it (Not always the most helpful advisor lol.) Super encouraging, is a little hurt if you skip class, but doesnt care as long as you finish projects. Hands down best professor Ive ever had

Ben Anderson is the professor that helped me decide my career. If you put in the effort he will encourage you 100%. I've never met a professor who cared so much about my work and progress. Such an amazing mentor that "sculpted" the artist I have become. If you like sculpture you will love his class.

Took Art103 with him & although I am not the most artistic person his class was definitely really fun. Such a caring and understanding professor. Show up to class, do the projects and you'll pass. Only thing I recommend is bringing only the needed supplies for the project you're working on because mine kept getting stolen.

Ben is my favorite art teacher. He's very caring and willing to help you if you need it. He's very passionate and knowledgeable about Art. If I could, I would take every single Art class with him. I recommend everyone to take a class with him!

Ben is the greatest art professor at URI. He is so nice, helpful, and cute. He genuinely loves sculpture and wants everyone to create the best work they can make. Also does not care if you never come to class as long as you finish your projects. No tests just art.

Super chill. Just do the projects, and even if they suck you still get an A. He takes attendance but as long as you get your projects done on time (you get more than enough class time for them and no homework) you are fine. You dont need to buy any materials either. He supplies everything even though he gives a material list at the beginning

He's a great teacher who has a high interest in students success and is always there to help without being overbearing. He's really laid back and isn't strict about being late. He's an awesome guy and a great professor and I would highly recommend taking a class with him to anyone, even if you are not an art person
