I had BA for 688 and 689 AMSL I and II, she is great, the class is fast paced but as long as you practice on your own with the time she gives you are will be ok for all classes. She wants everyone to have an A but you have to work at it and she is very non judgemental OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR and quality human being

She is the best teacher I have ever had. I is extremely helpful. Coming to class is important but it is not hard material to learn. Just pay attention in class and you'll do good. I highly recommend her as a teacher. You don't need to know any sign language prior to the class. Amazing class and teacher!

FANTASTIC professor! Show up to class and you're solid. 2 tests where she signs and you have to answer her questions on paper, but it's easy because she mouths while she signs. I loved this class. Super easy and laid back, almost always gets out early, and you learn a lot

Prinz is so nice! Great teacher to learn ASL from and super helpful. Late to class and lets class out early. You probably will buy a deaf culture DVD but that's it. She's extremely understanding. If you try, you'll definitely get an A. Sweetest teacher ever!

Betty Ann is the best professor hands down. Everyday you learn many new things. This class opens your eyes to how every culture is remarkable in its own way. This is definitely a class worth taking!!! I totally recommend her!!!!!!!!!!! This was my favorite class at SFSU so far and I am a junior.

BA Prinz is awesome. Show up to class everyday and pay attention. Practice your ASL for a bit before class and you've earned an A. Don't buy the book...we never used it. She is on "deaf time" which means she is late to every class.

Betty Anne is a great teacher! this class is awesome, take this! I learned sign, and much about deaf culture. She wants everyone taking the class to take it for a purpose, not just for fun. If you take this class you'll gain valuable skills needed to interact with the deaf culture. You can only gain by taking this class

Easy class. Not a lot of expressive practice. She cut the class time to 1 and a half hours a week and missed a few classes. I learned a lot and enjoyed her personally, but I don't think it brought me to the level of the students in the equivalent class at Vista. I really like the teacher and learned a lot for as little time as we got.

Awesome Professor! Extremely helpful and a great sense of humor. She's also a caterer and invited the entire class to a year-end bash at her house! She can COOK! What a FUN introduction to American Sign Language! Highest Recommendation that can possibly be given!!!

A very nice teacher. She had some very funny and interesting stories to tell the class. I learned a lot about the deaf culture by reading the text she assigned us to read. She also gave us a little insight on how it's like being deaf. You'll not only learn how to sign, but get a little taste of the deaf world. This class was very much enjoyable.

Prinz is absolutely amazing. She's the sweetest teacher and she makes sure that every single person understands. Very helpful and a very fun class. Class is only mandatory because if you miss one day, you'll miss out on a whole lot of teaching. Don't skip unless you have a friend who can teach you the signs.

One of the best professors I've ever had at this school. She is very nice and sweet and makes sure everyone in the class knows the signs. She's funny and intelligent, plus she let's class out early on a regular basis. Just show up and attempt the signs and you'll get an A. 2 tests and 1 paper. Take her class, you won't regret it.

One of the sweetest people I've ever met. Friendly, helpful and flexible. If you have a general interest in american sign language but don't want to have to work much, this class is for you. If you are seriously about it, and want to learn as much as possible, go to vista(now bcc), ohlone or another community college. If you attend, its very easy.

Prinz arrives late, and lets class out early on a regular basis. You won't learn as much as you would from a more organized teacher. She is sweet and class is fun. It just doesnt feel like a college level education, especially with this tuition rate. You'll learn much more from a private tutor in much less time for less money.
