Blewett is nice, but not a good teacher. You have to teach yourself the material from the textbook/endure his rants during class. Tests make up 50% of your grade, but he does let you drop one of them. Gives the last exam and the final exam back to back during finals week. The only good thing is the extra credit cause I would've failed otherwise

Attendance is not mandatory so it's honestly not worth your time to go to class. Your better off reading and teaching the material to yourself. Blewett is a super nice guy but he's been teaching for so long and kind of has the attitude that he can't be fired so why should he even have to try that hard.

I honestly didn't really like Dr. Blewett. I never understood his explanations and he always seemed to go on tangents. I didn't do very well in his class as a result. I aced AP ECON in HS but tanked it with Dr. Blewett 3 years later.

He is one of the best teachers i have had in SLU. He is a teacher that explains things in an easier way that makes students understand better. He also make the class interesting by telling funny things happened to his family and friends. He will be my advisor next semester. I really love to talk to him, because he give good advices.

Awesome teacher, made me want to major in econ. Makes it interesting and funny. Specializes in economic development, spent time in South Africa (real world experiance). Great guy, easy to talk to.

Bob Blewett is not a smart man. The guy seriously has credibility problems. Has absolutely no 'real world' experience... which might be part of the reason he struggles to make ideas clear. Ask him a few questions (dig down 1 layer) and watch his head spin. Do your WSJ articles - you'll do fine.

GREAT!!! I have never had a teacher like Blewett. I did not know how much I was going to like Econ before I took it, but he made the class so easy to understand and so enjoyable. Not only does he do a good job teaching, but he also finds time to inlude great stories of his life in class. Awesome..
