Required for SESE majors and should be simple. Buseck is vague with requirements. If someone reasonable is running Colloquium take it! If you miss 3 classes in a semester, doesn't matter if you're in ER, Dr.'s note or meeting with the President.... You fail. No questions asked. He has destroyed many a graduating students plans!

honestly this was the best class i ever took. took it last semester. this teacher was very enthusiastic. his job is just to display the material w/ lots of experiments! so don't bash him cuz u didnt do well. read the book! understand! get to know ur TAs.love chem! i got an A..and im not a nerd.

He is hands down the worst instructor ever. He doesn't care and it shows, he writes his tests with the intention of confusing students and his lectures are useless readings of powerpoints and a 100mph cause he doesn't encourage inclass note taking. Get someone else if you care at all!

Who would've known a college professor could be so bad? He's very rude and not helpful at all! My GPA went down from a 3.6 to a 3.0 because of this guy! He doesn't answer your questions, whether in class or in your email. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!

Before i registered for this class, i read his rating and told myself "ehhh...they're probably wrong" Boy, was I WRONG! Seriously, take into consideration these ratings. He sucks! Avoid if possible, espacially if your bad at chemistry. The average test scores for all 4 exams and final were like D's and F. He doesn't even reply to emails, nothing.

If you have his class, the TA, I don't know his name, but he's a guy and he's bald. Yeah, he is VERY VERY RUDE and he will cuss at you for no apparent reason whatsoever. Overall, not a good class. Sucks.

Before i took this class i read the reviews and thought they were a little harsh and bitter. But they were definitely correct. He is a horrible teacher and doesn't really care if you understand the material or not. He just wants to get through his slideshows. He is funny though. Go to Chad's study sessions! Get to know your TA!

The class is actually interesting and he is not a bad speaker. He kept me interested and he even has a sense of humor. We took some interesting fieldtrips and had really great guest speakers. However, his tests are IMPOSSIBLE. Class averages were in the sixties. He isn't very helpful either.

Prof. Buseck is awesome. He's enthusiastic and funny, which keeps even dull topics interesting. He does speed through material but also asks the class after each new topic he introduces if everyone is following. I'm really enjoying the class. Just put in a little effort and you'll do fine.

He is a great great guy. and he really loves his subject, so it makes it fun. But u really need to study on ur own and go to the TA's, the prof will just cover the material and not go over every detail. CPS is fun :) and tets are not too bad, but class averages have been surprisingly low....just work hard and u will do fine

Just awful. I really had no idea a class could go this badly. As an intelligent student, I've had to study insane amounts to get a C in his class. Refuses to answer questions in class and speeds through material. Get out of the class or pray that you have a good T.A.
