Comment:

Good to have textbook, but didn't use it much. Old School teacher with grading. Nothing online. Gives opportunities for extra credit. Lots of handouts which help on learning subject, group activities, & lectures. First test was open book/notes. Has corky humor. Cares about his students & their success. Would take him again.

I'm from different country, however I got A on AMH2010 and will get A in 2020. Check the Canvas and read his Word files for exams. I usually spend 3 hours before the exam date to prepare it, and I got over 90 every 6 exams. All assignment papers are all extra credits, and he gave you really high grades on the exams. No final, only 6 exams.

Tells you exactly what will be tested, no surprises. Gives a ton of extra credit. Lectures are long but funny. He is always making jokes. AND HE ACTUALLY KNOWS YOUR NAME!!

Mr. Leonard knows soooo much. He gets off topic but it's entertaining and interesting and we actually end up learning more than we intended. His tests are fair and give a lot of opportunity for everyone to pass unless they try really hard to fail. I would take his class again if I had the chance. His lectures are great and rich of history and info

Comment:

Although his class is an easy A, he makes History interesting. He gets very excited to be there for the students, and he never misses class. I would suggest him for History. Part of the reason he gets off topic is because ALL the notes are on his group online, and really, that is the best way to study. He is very sweet. :) I like him.

I agree with the comments saying he trails off topic and does come off as an easy "a" class. He does give out a lot of interesting back stories and information that you would not normally get from a history class. He is also very passionate about history and it shows!

Professor Leonard is a great professor. I have taken him for both AMH courses and I would recommend him to anyone who plans on taking either course. He is fair and gives you more than enough opportunities to pass his class! TAKE HIM!

The ONLY way fail Mr. Leonard's class is intentionally, as he tells you the first week of class. He gives you 3 ways to test, and a plethora of ways to earn extra credit. The book is unnecessary -- Mr. Leonard IS a history book. Just come to class, take notes, and do a little extra research. I LOVED his class. :)

This class was a joke! I felt like I was in 2nd grade. He makes it to where ANYONE can pass the test. open note/open book, he gives you the questions ahead of time, you can take it as many times as necessary to get an A. Complete waste of time.

Easy A!! He gives long lectures but I didn't really go to class. He doesn't require you to come to class, just to make sure the assignments are turned in on time. He gives you the questions to the tests so you know what to study. He's very nice and gives clean instructions. Impossible to fail his class! Take him!

THE ONLY REASON LEONARD GETS GOOD REVIEWS ON HERE ARE BECAUSE HE HAS EASY HANDOUTS. However- HE CAN'T STAY ON SUBJECT. If you're an avid notetaker you will loathe this guy's class. The Majority of his lectures HE STAYS OFF TOPIC. He will not tell you what you need to know for tests, but he will tell you everything about his family.
