Fantastic prof! I had him for first year Art History at Carleton University and he is the reason I decided to take an Art History minor. He's hilarious and is clear with his lectures. Missing lectures isn't the smartest thing because he doesn't post slides but readings will fill you in. Exams and midterms were tricky but not impossible.

Professor is obsessed with, and loves his work very much, and this shows with the way he presents it. The way the course was created was introducing a style or a movement, and then introducing the counter-movement and comparing/contrasting such movements. Absolutely lovely as this points out details. Made waking up for 8:30 am class worthwhile!

Brian is very clear on his explanation and it makes the material more enjoyable and easy to understand. It's easy to fallow and take notes because he repeats at least twise the ideas in a different ways. He's so passionate about the subject that it is a pleasure to listen to him in class!

Without a doubt the best Art History teacher at Concordia.Really nice guy and great teacher but a bit intimidating at first. He is articulate and helpful and above all approachable. You come away from his class feeling intelligent and enthused. Brilliant sense of humour!

Brian is one of the best teacher's going. His profound understanding of Canadian Art History provides a wealth of learning possibilities, and he is very free with his knowledge. He may seem a bit hard at first, but for those will to work there are many
