Awesome professor!!!!!i loved his class! extremly useful, good analogies. take-home exams taht take a while but fairly easy! makes class fun.whomever thinks he is hard likes to get their a** kissed by professors and he won't do it

I rarely have anything too bad to say, but he's pretty difficult to work with. He will single out some students, making negative comments fairly often. His tests were long but simple take-home exams. His lectures are uneven - a few classes that really had me thinking afterwards, but a lot of boring ones. Avoid unless you're really thick-skinned

If you come to class and listen, you won't have a problem. Had a few wise asses in my class and he put them in their place. 200 question take home final-a lot of group work so be prepared for that. Have to depend on other students which isn't always good.

classes aren't so bad, sometimes entertaining sometimes boring, but by the end of the semester he really thought we had learned from him! I'm not a mgt major but wanted to take an introductory course to get a taste, but it was a waste of a class.. may as well just read the book. Not a great prof, but i do give him props cuz people seem to like him.

Charnov is one of a kind. He's the type of teacher that makes paying for college worth it. I feel like i am a better and more informed person having attended his lectures. He is an excellent communicator and never fails to keep**** interesting. I dont think i'll take a better professor. Take home final is 100% of grade. dont slack! it takes 10hrs

Very full of himself. Thinks hes the greatest thing... but he is the greatest professor at Hofstra. The class is very enjoyable. Impossible to fall asleep in. Never keeps you the full time. 100% of grade is a take home final. 8 questions meaning 8 pages of work. You will learn alot in this class and you will love it. Take him whenever possible.

This guy is the most arrogant person at Hofstra, He is a real live "A" hole, THAT'S WHY HE IS THE MAN!!! I have learned so much from this guy and classes are hilarious!! He won't take any ** from nobody. He's one of the best teachers at hofstra- he's one of the smartest professors Hofstra has ever attained. I've had him for 3 classes. fun time

Funny professor - picked on a few of his students. Took him during SSI. Tells a lot of stories - some of which are interesting. I recommend him - Only one test which was take home and it was tough but if you paid attention in class you would do fine. Got an A
