Comment:

I would definitely take Dr. Darby's class again. He's very nice and helpful. He rarely gives homework, his tests are somewhat hard but easy if you study, and he gives extra credit frequently. He is sometimes scatterbrained, but you get used to it. Just take good notes while he lectures and the class should be easy.

Comment:

I love Dr. Darby a little more as just a department head or regular guy than I do as a professor. He provides slide shows during class lectures but they are not very useful. The book helped me pass the class. I did enjoy his anecdotes and real-world examples but they sometimes went on too long. I'm not very interested in abnormal psych, however.

Dr Darby is the man. He was probably the easiest teacher ive ever had, he's super cool, and can make the class really interesting although sometimes he can be dull. his tests are based almost intirely off the powerpoints and he gives a study guide before every test. if you dont get atleast a b in his class theres something wrong with you

Teaches a lot from PowerPoints,and posts them online consistently. Always very prompt with answering emails. Very helpful. Odd sense of humor. Overall very effective teacher.

Darby is such a sweet man and his wide vocab keeps interest. Though the slides can get a bit tedious, just take notes during class and study the study guide and you schould manage an A easily.
