when class starts, he is there to teach. he is very knowledgeable but at the same time can relate to, and understand, a student who does not. very opinionated, though he does try to stress the affective response of students in class. worth taking his classes.

Mr. Rivers is a kick-ass teacher. His classes are fascinating, he gives out chocolate and he's hilarious. Awesome teacher who makes you love learning. Gives assignments well in advance. Very rarely gives an A. Nevertheless, incredible!
