She is caring and wants you to pass with a GREAT grade. She is very understandable and will tell you what she wants specifically. You learn in her class a lot, but you need to work, of course. Take her!

This class was super hard for me but I will say that at least the teacher was nice enough to provide feedback. It's helpful. Do not take this class in the summer it is stressful. I guess that was my fault lol! but overall i got a passing grade after missing a huge assignment. Which is cool. Thanks.

Comment:

Professor Carrillo is a good English instructor. She made her class fun and a good ground for learning. I was afraid of taking English 102 before due to series of stories I heard from people, but taking it with her made me to enjoy it. I equally learned a lot from her class. I highly recommend students to take it with her.

Prof. Carrillo, was a very caring and strong teacher. She really cares about all of her students and wants them all to pass. She gives really good lectures. I actually learned a lot in her class!!

Comment:

She is a great professor, but she will make you work for it. This was the first English class I actually learned a lot! She gives a lot of work so make sure to keep up with it. She cares about her students so if you are struggling just ask her and she will help. It wasnt the easiest class, but Im glad I took this class because I learned a lot!

I took her English100 this spring semester and I really learned a lot; however, only take her class if you really want to learn. By the end of the semester, more than 1/2 of our class dropped out. I believe taking Prof. Carrillo class is worth it because all of us who finished her class were 100% confident to advance to English 101.

Professor Carrillo is a really funny and understanding professor but she does give a lot of work and homework . She isnt very organized and a lot of things are due in one day so make sure youre organized so you dont forget to turn anything in .She picks a topic for you on her essays. The topics are very boring I wouldnt take her class again

Comment:

This teacher is by far the hardest teacher I'v ever taken. Her online class slams you with work after work! her essay diagnostic worth 25 points was supposed to be 2 pages long and we didn't get to choose a topic! we had to analyze a story and a Beyonce song. Points do not add up to how much she makes you work. Tests are awful!

Great professor! I never really liked English classes but she made it so interesting. I enjoyed her lectures. Shes very detailed. Questions? Just ask! Shell specify. Funny too so it made class more enjoyable.

I had Carrillo for E28 online over Summer 2017. She was very kind and welcoming. She was very accommodating if you needed extra time for assignments or essay. Cons- She has things in many different places. You MUST be an organized person to be able to take this course online.

Professor Carrillo is such an amazing professor. The minute you step into her class, you are now very important to her. She gives plenty of essay, about 5 I recall. She has many strategies and tricks to teach you. I recommend her for English 28; She doesn't disappoint. I hope you choose her as your professor.

She's just ok. Her online class wasn't organize at all. Her grading criteria wasn't clear. Lots of homework. I won't take it with her again. She gave more assignments even that the previous homework wasn't due yet. If you don't have time to do more papers and homework don't take with her.

I took Carrillo for English 102. It's a literature class so expect a lot of reading; it'll be essential for this class. She gave us 3 exams which all went back to our reading and lectures. You will have in class essays and essays to write but its a literature class, that should be expected. Theres 2 parts to the tests, multiple choice a response.
