Great teacher, I had her for Cities. Her class is mostly discussion based. No textbook, but expect to make reflections on the readings about every week or so. The material isn't too bad, but I would only take this class if you're really interested or a GUS major (which you have to anyway).

Great professor. I took her Urban Dynamics class and loved it. I only did about half the readings and got an A. As long as you pay attention in class you don't have to study very much. She is very helpful and clear. I love how sincere she is.

Took her GUS 8016 course, Public Policy for Urban Regions - easily one of the best professors I've ever had; extremely caring & balanced, explains tough concepts clearly and patiently, welcomes questions & uncertainty. Truly a treasure at Temple!

Nice gened, did learn stuff. Three light papers, but you do have to travel for them. Midterm and final based heavily on notes so attend class. Everything asked was fair game. Grades add up to 99pts, so you know where you stand. Participate in recitation, read, study notes. Emphasis on supporting facts with examples in essays. A for the semester.

had her for Urban Dynamics. Very smart, lectures could get boring at times though. Friday recitations with the TA were awful, she barely had a grasp on the material we were covering. Dr. Adams was incredibly smart however. Class requirements to venture out into Philly on your own were fun and informative.

very interesting course material, though class could sometimes get very boring because she reads right from the powerpoint. a lot of reading is assigned, but really not necessary. not a terrible class, HATED the TA.

The class is entertaining if for no other reason than to see suburbanites complain about having to leave campus and venture forth into the city to do projects. How sheltered are these kids? You can take a lot from this class if you care enough.

Dr.Adams changed my perspective on what seemed to be such a boring topic on cities. I only took the course b/c it was required. However, I'm glad I did b/c she is everything that you look for in a college professor, her passion makes you want to learn that much more-take her class-u won't regret it-I know I didn't

Very helpful teacher and interested in each of her students. She learned everyone's name in a gladfelter lecture. She was also sure to help as much as possible during group projects and upcoming test. A lot of reading and info to know, but def. a good professor if you have to take the class.

Prof. Adams is awesome. She took the time out to learn all the students names, and even though she did give pop quizzes, she would give huge hints as to what was going to be on the quiz. Her point system was fair, and so were her tests and city project. She was very understanding and helpful in every aspect of the course. Take her!

Dr. A- is an amazing prof. She knows how to joke with her students while getting the messege across in her teachings. She is friendly as a kitten and always willing to listen to her students. Expects copious amounts of reading, but the readings are relevant to class discussions.
