I haven't seen an HON301 review on here, but she's great. She is willing to help me with any problem I'm having even if it doesn't have to do with honors. Very clear grading criteria and all of the discussions posts lead up to the two final assignments for the class.

Took her freshman year & I thought I was going to die. Failed my first paper but after crying to her got a re-write & pulled a B. she's a little intimidating has very high expectations. Assigns a lot of readings & be ready to discuss all class. Final big presentation not only on content but speech and body language. CHALLENGING but doable

not sure what happened to her between all of the good comments and this past semester, but it was something. Not helpful, condescending, rude, and her lessons were thrown together at the last minute. Half of grades are based on journals, which have minimal to do with the course and were not explained well. made mistakes when finalizing grades too.

Do not take this class if you are not interested in learning Race, Gender and Sexuality through a Philosophical lens. I was unaware of the cross listing and probably wouldn't have taken it if I had known. Heavy reading (very difficult) and discussion based class. Very tough grader. I am an A student, and I got a C in this class. Not an easy A!

I have always gotten A's on writing papers for other gen ed requirements as a bio major. For some reason I never meet her standards for writing papers and got by with C's and D's. There's also group discussions in every class which most students hated. If you're not interested in philosophy, dont take this class.

This class was extremely difficult for me. This is the first class I will not receive an A in. So safe to safe she's ruined my great GPA. Unless you are a whiz at philosophy, don't take her. She does not offer any extra credit either.

Advanced Ethics was my second class with Cathy and I enjoyed it. She is a great lady and knows her stuff. The readings are interesting and she does a great job dissecting them in class. It's hard not to get involved with mandatory readings and online discussions.

I took Professor Gardner's class as a freshman, so I was nervous that a 300-level would be over my head, but it was well worth the risk. History of Feminist Thought was interesting and thought provoking. She gives a lot of leeway in terms of grading, so as long as you actually read something you should escape wtih a B.

Professor Gardner is fantastic. There is a lot of reading, but it is well worth it and you actually learn something.

she is easy, funny & understanding. there were NO exams. 3 papers, kinda tough grader, but if you work with her you'll do fine. gives an extra credit assignmnt to replace a low grade. doesnt take attendance but there are 4 days where you have an open book journal assigmnt which is easy and given a grade from 1 - 3. she wants you to do well.

VERY FUINNY TEACHER! Her humor is wonderful, and any college kid can identify with it. She makes all the topics covered very fun to learn about. She is also always willing to stay after class to help. The class was VERY easy too. We had to watch "High Noon" and do a repor on that, do an OPEN BOOK midterm, simple journal reports, and a final.

Best professor I have ever had. She is an amazing lady. I would love to sit her down and just pick her brain for a day. She is very clear it terms of lecturing and what she expects. She is always willing to help, encourages class discussion, and shines a bright light on difficult issues. Warning to crazy note takers; notes are disorganized.

Prof Gardner is an aweseome professor. She knows her stuff about feminist theory. She made the class really interesting and always respected our viewpoints. Her assignments were not bad at all. Two Short Papers and a final paper 8-10 pages. A good amount of reading though. I recommend her highly!!
