This guy sucks. Don't take him if you can avoid it. His accent is difficult. He knows the material, but doesn't know how to teach. Doesn't seem to like helping students. Run away!!

Best of the options you have. Actually pretty clear. Most commenters here just gripe b/c he gave them bad grades. Put in a little work, take the hints from the website and you are fine

Material is not that bad in terms of difficulty. Tests were multiple choice, which I thought was weird. If your bad with multiple choice....run away, if not you'll be fine. The class had a very cold presence most of the time. Not much room for tom foolery or horseplay, you feel like your in the military.

He is very boring and you will be taking full advantage of his not mandatory attendance. I think it is the most useless class at Auburn and it is pretty hard also.

HUGE tip: His OLD textbook is in the University Library..."Contemporary Engineering Economics" It has the same homework problems and self-test questions w/ANSWERS! Check it out and use it to study for the tests. Work the problems and you'll ace the test. CHECK OUT THE BOOK! It's worth it! Also check out the website for some HW answers!

Yes, class really is that bad. Take him if you get the choice, other options are generally worse. Start the night you get the homework and you might get it right by the 2 weeks when it is due. Get the study guide too! Teaches from PPT, but posts lectures too. Go to class, he takes attendance. Not impossible to do well, but unlikely. B/A-

DO NOT TAKE PARK! During class he shows elementary examples, but when it comes to Homework and Test he gives extremely complicated questions. The book doesn't help either because HE WROTE THE BOOK. If he is the only professor offered I would wait another semester.

The worst teacher I have had since I have been at Auburn. He makes concepts extremely difficult and his power points are a waist. You can read the book but understanding how to get the answers to the sample test problems is impossible. DONT TAKE PARK

Really tries to complicate basic concepts. I dropped this class a couple times because he made test so much harder than the material involved with the class. The TA's are your best friend in this class. Without them you will be rolling the dice.

he is the best for engineering economics. all the teachers go by pretty much the same method, but he lets you use the study guide, the book, notes, and homework problems on the test. so he pretty much lets you cheat. if you do the homework and understand them you will get an A. GET THE STUDY GUIDE! The study guide will bring you up 2 grades.

"Lecture" consists of PPT and scant examples. I tried asking questions during class but his replies were curt and unhelpful. Not accessible outside class either, but his GTAs make up for it. The tests are 20 no-partial-credit MCQs, i.e. your letter grade drops every time you make two miniscule mistakes. This is my first frowney rating of a prof.

yeah, take a pillow to class...and a blanket cz it gets cold too.maybe a newspaper.he knows his stuff, but with a couple hundred people in the class and boring presentations, and the word BRUTE-FORCE pronounced as BRUFUS, you'll be skipping pretty regularly.by the way, his GTA's were hot!

Comment:
Horrible teacher. Takes relatively easy material, and unnecessarily complicates it. Makes key assumptions on problems (that are unrealistic in many scenarios), but does not tell you. His TA, Luke, did a great job however.
