Probably i won't take her again. often times she asked the class to calculate stuff without explaining why we had to do it. Tests were super difficult for no reasons.

Her class was okay. I would not take her again but I may have to bc of my major. Her tests were super hard (definitely need to study). The big group assignment was not explained well and was just super confusing. I dreaded going to the class bc it was super boring. The lectures are based on PowerPoints.

Comment:

Solid professor. Despite what I had heard, she was super nice, helpful, + knowledgeable. If you at least pretend to be interested + invested in the subject, she will help you. She also listens to feedback and adapts the class, which is huge. However, her instructions are sometimes unclear, and her 3 exams are sometimes unnecessarily difficult.

This was my worst experience yet with a professor. Teaches tough concepts quickly, does not like to explain things. Seems annoyed when you ask questions. Tests cover too much information at once. Comes off very abrasive. I didnt learn anything I just left class frustrated every day, sorry .

Remember the one college professor your parents warned you about, that would make you hate the subject your even the most passionate about? This is that professor. Horrible teacher, even worse advisor. Kim doesnt care about any of her students. I was an A/B student and barely passed her class with a C, and Im a mass comm major... dont take her.

Comment:

Professor Kim is awesome! She is really nice and a very easy professor. There were 3 tests, 1 being the final. If you do the study guides and memorize it, you will get an A. There was a group project which was kind of stupid and 2 quizzes and a few other grade boosting assignments. Take her for this class if you want an A.

I'm not great at math, so that's part of the reason this class was hard for me. Aside from that, she was a pretty harsh professor. Took feedback at the end, but wouldn't listen to our issues as the class went on. The book is NECESSARY, and tests are really hard. She knows her stuff but the class wasn't enjoyable.

Group project of 4, one dropped and the other 2 didn't pull their weight at all. Hands down hardest class I ever took. She barely helped, offered almost 0 insight. Trust me please im begging you, do not take her she will be your worst nightmare. Literally doesn't do lectures, all you do is work on the project. She knew I worked so hard to.

Worst professor I have ever had. I went into this class excited about learning about Media Planning but she proved me wrong. She very strict on attendence, grades every homework and test SO harsly, and is very condescending. Her directions for the group project are very unclear. Suprisingly I passed with a C. DO NOT TAKE HER. VERY RUDE.

Really clear directions on all assignments. Not an easy class, but this is upper level. Find a good group and have a good work ethic and you will be fine. prepare to meet outside of class a lot.

Very nice teacher and Very smart as prior rater noted, check her credentials. Class is a lot of work, both individual and group. If you're confused, ask questions. Just a tough class overall, must take as a requirement for major, but the hard work payed off as I gained alot (of knowledge) from the class.

The last comment is uncalled for. If you're truly interested in the major then you need to be interested in what she has to say. She is VERY intelligent and sometimes students mistake her kind attitude for weakness. Ask plenty of questions, know your stuff, and stand out...just like in the real world. Media Planning is going to be hard with anyone

pretty good class. in the first few weeks seems harder than it is. few homeworks, 2 tests, and the campaign. if you try on the campaign and can defend your choices you'll get a good grade. go to class, be nice to her and she'll love you. pretend to be super interested. for media report make sure article is about media planning!

SPARE YOURSELF!!!!!!! take J.S.Lee for this class. This woman is the most UNHELPFUL professor I have ever had!! I busted my a** in this class and all efforts went unnoticed. You can never do anything right and she picks favorites. Hard to understand. If I wasn't so close to graduating I'd switch majors so I didn't have to take her for Campaigns

Tests are hard but class assignments are easy. You can bomb all the tests and still get a C in the class but she takes forever to return things and is not always clear on what she wants. tests are worded rediculously but she posts her powerpoints on blackboard

def dont take this class until you are ready....pick a good group and keep up with deadlines and you should be ok....do all the research and put your heart into it...very helpful as a teacher and class can def be a big help in the real world..shes not mean like everybody makes her out to be...

She is very unclear as to what the requirements are so here's how you pass the class, research and write a lot for paper 1, very concise for paper 2, and concise for paper 3. Don't ad fluff, just what you need. She takes off pts if you write too much. Get a good group. Don't be afriad to fire people or they will ruin your grade. Trust me. I know.

Takes FOREVER on getting assignments back, so you have no idea where you stand in class. She goes over the stuff in class, but you'll be teaching yourself a lot. Compared to Towson's other MCOM teachers, she's still probably the best option for this course. Ha.

This was the best class I took at Towson. It is senior level and you should not be taking it before that. Kim is an amazing professor. She guides you through the class. There are no tests so you can focus all your time on the campaign. It requires a lot of time but if you have a good group you will be fine! Fun class. Enjoyable. Prepare to work.
