Comment:

I took his course (CHS-264684) Perspective on Terrorism online and thought that it was very insightful. He had specific reading assignments and was straightforward with requirements. He smoothed over a situation of a student making offensive remarks on the subject of the people of Vietnam. A very good instructor who knows his stuff!

Comment:

Professor Breiner seems like a nice guy and grades fairly. I say "seems" because I felt like he wasn't really around very much. He doesn't contribute to discussions at all, but at least he does write the discussion question. Another issue I had was that lots of his assignments are general topics instead of specific questions.

Prof Breiner just has a different style, but he's respectful and attentive. He moderates rather than participates, and responds very quickly to private folder entries and grades extremely fairly.

I can't really say if he is a great professor because he just wasn't around. There wasn't any discussion interaction, except for the occasional "Good job, everyone." He does respond to private folder question/comments but expect short answers. His greatest strength is that he grades fairly.
