great professor. He is extremely understanding and helpful. Although many of his lectures are not interesting, this man knows his stuff. Attendance plays a part in your grade. If you will TALK TO HIM & ask him questions (after class or during)HE WILL HELP!Don't be a student that just attends class & then expects help a week before finals.

You don't use the book, his lectures are LONG. No attendance...usually group presentations that are very simple. VERY HELPFUL professor...he will do whatever he can to help you. Overall I WOULD recommend taking him! EASY A

Grade was based on one presentation and critiques rather than tests. Does not require attendance but offers credit if you do sign in. Buy the book for your presentation, otherwise it is not necessary. Very intelligent professor and is willing to help. If you ask for an extra credit option, he is willing to work something out.

HE IS THE WORST TEACHER EVER!!! The average test grade was a 33 and he REFUSES to curve any grades. He blames the students for the grades and doesnt care if anyone passes. He cant relate the information to students. He failed 95% of the class. Just take this class with Rashotte (he's a lot better!)

Horrible teacher. He is to smart to be teaching an undergraduate course. He can relate any of the information to you unless your already a research psychologist with 10 years experience. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS!

VERY HARD teacher.... his tests are just as hard as his lectures, he is a confusing professor, he expects you to be at his same level of knowlegde... He cruves test grades at the end..which doesn't help you at all

VERY hard. Class averages for tests were generally btw 50-60. He curves at the end but that doesn't mean much...your 52% will now be a 72%

he knows everything,but cant teach anything.he offers up to 10 extra credit pts to final grade,a must otherwise you might fail.class average always around a 55-65 although his gradeing scale is very different than other prof. you do ok if you talk to him,email,AND GO TO CLASS.he knows who is there.

This is a hard teacher no doubt. class averages are going to be low. He is very smart!He understands that most of us cant crasp his ideas. If you show you are trying, do all extra credit, show him you care, he will help you. Nice guy but the class will stress you out.

for someone who claims not to like tests his are super hard!!! he definitely likes what he's teaching but he has a hard time describing it to people who don't understand it as easily as he does.

Too smart for his own good. He teaches the class as if it's a graduate course (with 150 students). I would recommend you take another 400 level course. Unless you wouldn't mind taking a class to hurt your GPA.

this guy is too smart for his own good.Even the other professors and faculty feel this way about him.It's crazy, my entire class nearly failed his course.It's his second semester at this school and he's hurting everybody. DON'T TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN HELP IT

MacTutus is difficult. Tests are very hard! But,if you really try your grade will reflect your effort. He's helpful and easy to get along with. I made an F on the 1st exam and each one improved after that;I got a B+ in the class. Don't be afraid of him.

A survey course shouldn't be this hard. Mactutus is an amazingly intelligent guy who has never taught an undergraduate course. The class average is a 50! For your GPA to survive, i advise taking a differebt teacher.
